After turning on unit , the screen goes to black, sound is fine and around edges is the picture which appears to be blocked. When changing channels the screen shows the new show until the black out once again is in place in a second or two. The remote has dissapered and a "universal" has been trained to at least turn on and change channels, and adjust volume. Is there any thing we can do to restore picture to our unit?
I am having the same problem, does anyone have a solution?
Contacted Mitsubishi directly and found out that QV9 on the remote control resets to factory defaults, clearing the Parental lock out someone had put in place. The TV is in a Retirement Home and some of the folks are sneaky about wanting to control the TV in their own fashion. We will be watching the remote a bit closer now!
