Has it ever worked, as it sounds like it needs to be docked on I Tunes to 'unbrick it?'
If it is black background and white cable coming from bottom of screen then it needs to unlocked on I Tunes.
Download latest version of I Tunes from www.apple.com
Once I tunes is set up link I Phone to your computer (with I Tunes running) via the usb cable that came with your I Phone.
Follow prompts within I Tunes and this should get everything going.
buy a new phone and try real hard nt to drop it the a920 tends to pack up when dropped as it happened to my last a920 and even telecom went to repair it but it was going to cost more than the price of a replacement a920

It sounds like your charger is faulty, or your phones charger connection is faulty, try borrowing the same charger from a friend, if it does the same thing, your phones connection is faulty
