Hey bello205,
This camera does not allow the user to actually turn off the optical zoom, but does allow the user to shut off the digital zoom. If you are talking about the digital zoom make sure it is turned on in through the menu system. As far as the optical zoom goes make sure you are not in playback mode. If this doesn't work you can try having the camera reset to the original settings every time you shut off the camera by choosing this option under the setup menu in playback mode. If none of this works have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician.

Sincerely,
Allan

Audio sonic km2120 unable to take off zoom

It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with your Audio Sonic KM2120 where you are unable to take off the zoom feature. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the settings on the camera to make sure that the zoom feature is not locked or disabled. Consult the user manual for instructions on how to access and change the settings.
  2. Check the zoom control on the camera to make sure that it is not stuck or malfunctioning.
  3. Try using the zoom feature with a different camera to see if the problem is with the camera or the zoom control.
  4. Check for any software updates for your camera and update it if necessary.
  5. If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that the problem is with the camera's internal hardware and it will require further diagnosis by a professional technician.
It's important to note that troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment can be dangerous, especially if you're not familiar with the device, so it's best to contact a professional technician if you're not comfortable working with it.

Zoom feature not working

Hi,

So you're pressing the Zoom button but it has no effect, am i correct?

There can be 2 issues - small (dust/moisture), not small(inside button gone bad).

Small Issue: Keep the camera in sunlight(not very hot) for a while. (not loaded). Wipe off with clean lint-free cotton cloth. Keep it again in sunlight for a while. If moisture is the issue then it should go off, though i have seen in some cases it took 3-4 days and suddenly it started working.

If still no response from Zoom then the internal zoom small button has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Send it for repairs.

How to use the Zoom

I assume you mean when pressing the W or T buttons the zoom feature does not work. Try to reset the camera to the factory default settings and this should enable the zoom feature to work again. To do this go to Ok button and then to Mode Menu - then to Setup tab and then right arrow to Reset. hit the right arrow and you will see Reset Yes or No. Highlight Yes and press Ok. Camera should be in factory settings and zoom option will function.

Quantaray 28-90 for Nikon N65 zoom ring locked up

There is no secret locking switch. If a little gentle jiggling doesn't free the zoom ring, then I can only suggest you take it in to a reputable camera shop for a Clean-Lubricate-Adjust (CLA).
