My Panasonic PT50LC13 will no longer turn on. If you press the power button you get 2 long green blinks and then faster green blinks which go on indefinately; then if you press the button the light switches to a red light blinking at the same speed and it will blink like this indefinately.

How old is this tv?<br />Did you replaced its lamp in last 2-3 years?<br />I think your tv needs lamp replacement.<br /><br />

  • michael_r274 Aug 17, 2010

After looking at it closer it does need a lamp. The lead on the bulb is broken in two. The only problem is that I've read where this tv needs a ballast repair kit from Panasonic to keep it from blowing the bulb in the future.

Yes, Part Store.com offers ballast repair kit for $26

When TV is turned on the green light comes on but the TV does not. 2 seconds later the green light turns back off.

DO THE SELF CHECK THIS SET HAS AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU FIND:

When you turn on and green light comes on and then goes off:

On the front of the set press and hold both the Menu and Input buttons at the same time for longer than 5 seconds and release both buttons.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know and if this told you something you did not know rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

Panason PT-50LC13 TV won't come on, light blinks green then red

Ballast failure is more that likley the problem. Is the lamp light blinking,...once every 5 seconds? Discontinued part and can only be purchased used or rebuilt. Rebuilt units are available, check Ebay. Have a service type person confirm problem before throwing good money after bad!

I have a Panasonic PT50LC13 Television. For about the last month when you tried to turn it on, it would come on then quickly turn back off and you could hear the fan running then the red light would blink....

For that model, there is a ballast kit that would need to be installed. A diode and 2 caps need to be replace on the ballast. Check the lamp as well.

Keeps blinking. I've shut it off, and cancelled all print jobs - even unplugged it. Keeps blinking. Says there is an operator error

Try this:

1. Turn off printer (use button, don't unplug)
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.

If this not help may the print head is defective.
