WHITE SCREEN Just bought 8100. Charged for 5 hours. Can only get bright white screen when turning on to setup. No graphics. SIM card works as I can make and receive calls. Help?

Sounds like the graphics card just died. You will need that repaired.

Start / Control Panel / Display / Settings / Advanced / Graphics Media Accelerator / Graphics Properties / Schemes

lots of clicks! This should get you what you want. You'll probably have to experiment with settings a little to get what is truly comfortable to you.

try to remove your sim card and the memory card out of your unit and try to open it again

If that work then have it run for 5 minutes then turn off again put your sim card not your memory card, then turn it On again

inform us what happen

First try reset - take out battery and sim, keep out for a minute, then put them in and restart the phone. Any different?

The next possibility may be re-loading the device software from the Desktop Manager. Any better?

Remove the back cover, Remove the battery, if the phone is GSM take the little card out of the back of phone by sliding the metal cover in proper direction. Should be arrows. Put the Sim card back in battery back in then turn phone on. If this doesn't work let me know. Main thing is reseating the sim card. (this assuming you a service provider that requires a sim card. )

You are having the following problems:


White balance setting incorrect.



images are too bright
ㆍExposure is excessive
→ Reset exposure compensation



● Adjusting LCD Brightness
1. In any mode with the exception of Voice Recording mode,
press the MENU button.
2. Press the LEFT/ RIGHT button and select the [Setup]
menu tab.
3. Select the [LCD] menu by pressing the UP/ DOWN button
and press the RIGHT button.
4. Select a desired sub menu by pressing the UP/ DOWN
button and press the OK button.
[LCD] sub menu : Dark, Normal, Bright
5. Press the menu button twice and the menu will disappear.


Turn camera off. Try removing the fully charged batteries for 30 seconds, reinsert batteries and turn camera on. Hope this helps.

the only thing that you can do with this issue is try wiping the software clean and reinstalling fresh software. You would need the blackberry desktop manager first installed on your home computer. If you dont have the cd the program is more then likely available on your mobile providers website. Once the program is downloaded and installed follow these directions

To perform this procedure, follow the steps below:

1. Remove the battery from the BlackBerry device.
2. Double-click Application Loader in BlackBerry Desktop Manager while the BlackBerry device is not connected to the computer.
3. Click Next on the Welcome to the Application Loader Wizard screen.
4. When the Communication Port Selection screen appears, connect the BlackBerry device.
5. When the USB-PIN option appears, click Next. The Device Application Selection screen should appear.
6. Re-insert the battery and allow the process to complete.
   

The same happened to me when I dropped my phone in my briefcase. It actually still had audio, as it rang when calls came in. However, the rest of the phone was useless. You will need to replace the entire unit, unfortunately.
