Open this link (click here), download one of the available packs from the lists, install it and restart your computer. Now play any media file like audio or video using your windows media player, hopefully it'll work, if the problem persists, try with another player (Classic Media player) which comes with the KliteMega codec Packs, you'll be able to play them.

You can also try them with another player (Vlc Media Player) which supports almost all media types.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

No sound from t3i when upload to computer

You may not have the correct video codecs loaded on your computer. Search for K lite codec pack and download and install that. Alternatively download and install VLC player as that comes with a lot of codecs as well.

Dell latitude wont play mp4 video

dvancavage,

Your problem might be missing codecs. A codec (compressor/decompressor) is used to 'decode' a video or sound. A video practically needs 2 codecs; a video codec and an audio codec.

To resolve your issue, try installing K-Lite Codec Pack Pro. This will ensure you to play all types of videos and music in your computer. Install the program without changing the settings if you don't know how to change them.

Also, I suggest you un-install any other Media Players that you have and leave Windows Media Player 11 (upgrade it to 11; it's free!), QuickTime and iTunes. Set Windows Media Player 11 as your default too so you can automatically play all the files you want with WMP11. http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_li...
K-Lite Codec Pack! Download the latest PRO version/ It's FREE!

Computer plays sound but no picture off dvd

Hi there,
It sounds like you're either missing a codec or a video driver, the former being the most likely.
A codec is a small file that tells the computer what to do when you play a dvd. You can download a one time setup pack of codecs here:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/k_lite_codec_pack.htm
Download, install, and reboot your computer. Try playing the dvd again, and if it still doesn't work, you may want to update your video drivers.

My computer dont support sounds from some videos that i download, how do i solve this problem?

That might be because that you lack the right codec for your video player program to play the sound of the video.

Here is an all-in-one codec pack that you can download for free.

Screen goes blank

Video on a computer is comprised of two components, known as codecs. The audio codec decodes the audio, and the video codec decodes the sound. If one of these codecs is missing or corrupted, then either the sound or the video won't work. I'm surprised it's happening with youtube since their video is quite a generic format. If you can get hold of a file where this happens, there is a utility called GSpot which takes the file and tries to render it, reporting detailed failures where a codec is not working or not found. Try running your piece of video through that and googling the results, you will likely be able to find a codec that fixes your problem.
