If your seals are good on the door and the fridge side is set for a mid range temp ck and make sure the fan is running in the fzr side. The fridge side steals cold from the freezer by directing air from the fzr to the fridge. Also make sure the fzr does not have an ice block in it the back will be frosted up and if you took the back shell off you would see the cooling coils frosted up real bad or even iced if you find this your refrigerator is going to stop working soon. The suspect parts are the defrost timer the heating element in the freezer located with the cooling coils and the defrost limit this is a nickle size disc with one wire running to the end of the heating element it kicks the element on and off to keep it from overheating the fzr. The defrost timer is usually located in the fridge side under the top or backside plastic it will have a slot in it that a flatblade screwdriver will fit it and you can turn it with audible clicks It kicks the heating element in for a few minutes each day if it quits it will not advance. Hope this helps all of the parts can be purchased and installed by the home owner good luck and remember to unplugg before delving into the elect parts.

I have a Samsung side by side refrigerator RS2533SW and it stoped cooling both sides. I already tried to reset it. That did not help the fan is kicking on an off. Do you have an Idea. Thanks

check to see if the fan and compressor in the back conme on first. if they do then shut the unit off and remove the back panels inside and thaw out the ocils.

Samsung rs2533sw fridge not cooling

it sounds like the refrigerator evap is frozen up causing the compartment to get too hot. shut the unit off and let it thaw out. then take the screws out of the cover to check the stryrofoam on the back side of the cover to see if theres broken spots on it causing the air to bypass the evap causing it to freeze. Theres two screws behind the light cover and two at the very bottom of the cover and two behind the decorative plugs about 1/2 way

Samsung rs2533sw fridge not cooling

soiunds like the coil on the refrigerator side is iced up.take and open the refrfigerator side and take a blow drier and after removing the 11 screws use the hair drier to slowly melt the icec behind the cover. If you pull too hard and or too soon you'll break the stryofoam ductin that has to be around the coil. then make sure that the drain line is clear reassemble and have a Merry Christmas!

Samsung RS2533SW freezer not cooling problem

I was having the same problem but with the refrigerator side. I know your problem was with the freezer side but I hope this works in your situation too. I was also told to unplug the fridge for 20 minutes and that did not do a thing to reset the circuit board in my situation. Unplug the refrigerator first. In the back of the refrigerator at the bottom is a metal panel. Remove that panel and off to the right side of it should be a white looking plastic box. Unscrew that box from the fridge and open it up to get to the circuit board. Remove ALL harnesses from the circuit board and capacitor. After doing so plug them all back in and reassemble everything back together and plug in the fridge. This should reset the board and allow it to function correctly. This is advice I got from someone else and everything as of today is cooling down like it should. I hope this helps everyone else out. Best of luck.

Also since the evaporator was frozen solid at the bottom on the refrigerator side I had to leave the power off until it thawed and then had to soak up all the water that collected at the bottom of it.
