The model that you have provided is not listed as a 220 volt system,it is listed as a 120 volt system, Please see the following link to LG for specs if this is the proper model number you provided, please verify and post back.

There is a fuse on the control board but it is a permenant fuse, the only other part that would stop power in the unit is the control board itself, Other than a burnt or broken wire.

No electrical usually means that the electronics that control the ac aren't functioning properly - something was fried inside it and must be replaced with a genuine part. This is a job for a certified / dealer recommended repairman. Don't get an ordinary one, if he makes even the slightest mistake you will need a new ac.

There is no fuse, all protections are in electronic form - relays and thermocouples. As i said this can't be fixed without the proper replacement parts, and only a dealer has them.

Hi,

Does it have a position for fan only? If it does try that and see if the fan will run. If it doesn't something is keeping power from getting to the fan and compressor. Try looking inside for a fuse or possibly a capacitor. There may be a small transformer inside the unit. Check it for 24vac. If the fan runs then the transformer should be ok.

Please post your feedback and Vote if the problem resolved as per your satisfaction.

Hi,

Tools Required

  • Rubber gloves
  • Fuse wires
  • Voltage tester
  • Duster
  • Screwdriver
Problem 1 – Check the Power Supply Check whether the power cord is completely plugged in and there are no visible cuts or breakages on it. If the power cord is cut, fix it accordingly. Plug in the power cord correctly and test run the air conditioner.
Problem 2 – Fuse A window air conditioner won’t turn on if the fuse of the power supply to the unit has blown. If that is the case, fix it by replacing the fuse wire. Check the machine by running it again. If the fuse blows off again, then provide a dedicated 120 volts plug in facility to the unit. The reason is, if the air conditioner draws power from a circuit shared by other appliances, it can’t draw required power supply and will blow the fuse repeatedly.
Problem 3 – Circuit Breaker If the fuse is also intact then check whether the breaker in the circuit had tripped, if so reset the circuit breaker and start the machine again.
Problem 4 – Thermostat Check the temperature of the thermostat, if it is way off the mark, set it to a correct temperature. Else, check if the thermostat is stuck at a particular temperature. This will happen only if the filter has become dry due to dirt accumulation or dead batteries. Fix the problem of the filter either by cleaning, replacing or charging the batteries. At times, the filter gets stuck and if this happens, the machine can’t operate as the evaporator coil freezes.
Problem 5 – Other Common Problems Check if the air conditioner is choked with the debris or plant growth. A window air conditioner needs to circulate air, and if debris like grass or other objects get sucked in, it damages the capacitor and in extreme cases, the air conditioner can also be blown. So, clear the debris and other vegetation growing around the air conditioner.
If all the above mentioned methods fail, then a problem in compressor, condenser or evaporator might be the culprit. If that is the case, you have no option but to get a professional help.

Good Luck!!

Thanks!!

    Thanks for your response!!

On window units with a electronic control the fuse is nestled between
the display panel and the board. Impossible to see or get to without
    removing the control.

    Good Luck!!

    Thanks!!

I got a LG TV lg55lv5400 that th? svreen wont turn up. Light show up but not screen. Bad main board ? ? Thanks you

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

I have a electric dryer LG DLE0442W WON'T HEAT UP BLOWS OUT COLD AIR

Check your venting and lint basket. Check blower for lint build up and blower wheel obstruction., test by trying to turn the wheel manually by hand (should be easy) May have to remove cabinet or front/back plate to get to it)

Next check the heating element itself with a meter for continuity OHMS CLOSED CIRCUIT. If not its defective.

Check dryer Terminal block prongs both outside prongs should give combined 220, and 110 each if u check 1 outside & 1 center (ground) prong. Also check house electrical outlet for full voltage. 220 because if u only get half or 110 volts you will be able to run the machine which uses only 110 to run motor but not the heater which uses a full 220,

Check the thermal cut off, the cycling and the hi limit thermostats.
For continuity or OHMS. If no ohms or resistance they need replacement.

Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet.
Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity.
A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle.

My oven won't turn all the lights are on

If you started to say that the electric oven wont heat, but the lights are on, I"d like to start by asking if youve checked the outlet to make sure it was getting 220 v. If its getting only 110v, it would explain why the lights come on.. lights work off of 110v, but heating element requires 220.. if only 110v is showing on volt meter, id be checkin your breaker, look for half of a double pull breaker to be tripped...turn off, then on both of them..same thing if its a single pull 220 breaker.
If youve got 220v at the outlet, I"d personally touch the element to see if it gets warm at all the instant someone turns the oven on. See if it has any heat at all.
Check the element termilals for corrosion...check element for brittleness or curling...check for 220 v at the element terminals...if nothing..it suggests the dial or thermostat

No heat will come from the dryer

Check the dryer breaker pair in the house electrical box. Push off, then on. If the breakers trip immediately, then you have a direct short circuit in the dryer, usually the heating element which involves removing the drum to get at the element(s). If the breakers hold, then try the dryer. If you get heat--ok. If drum turns, but no heat--check with a voltmeter across the two slanted slots in the power socket. You should read ~220 volts AC. If near zero, then one of the breakers is probably bad. Get an electrician to replace the breaker pair.
