I have an HP Pavilion notebook. It's a ze2315us. The power cord was jerked out of it and it damaged the input on the power connector board. I replaced the power connector board and that works great now. The problem is that now I cannot connect to the internet via wireless or ethernet. It was working fine before the power connector board was replaced. Now it does not even recognize that I have plugged an ethernet cable into it. I used the exact factory part ordered from HP. Where would you guys suggest I begin in troubleshooting this problem?
Thanks for the advice. I will work on getting a USB wireless adapter. Last night I uninstalled the network adapters and rebooted. On boot the notebook recognized the hardware and an internet connection but had an exclamation point. When I checked the status it said that the network did not assign a network address to the computer - limited or no connectivity. When i run cmd and ipconfig /all it lists an ip address and subnet mask but no default gateway or dns. Thanks for the advice. I will work on getting a USB wireless adapter. The first thing I would try is a USB wireless adapter. If this works it may be a hardware problem. If this does not work it is likely a software problem. Make sure the interfaces are not disabled in the connections window. Make sure you are using a good cable, test it elsewhere.
