4gb kingston canon ixus 50

The IXUS 50 works with MMC and SD cards. Your new 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

I have a Polaroid a310 I recently bought a card for it it is a Sony 4GB. I put it in and started taking pics, they went to the internal memory. Then I went to the menu to copy to card it said no files...

Hello!
I have had the same problems with Sony memory cards before. I found out that most Sony memory cards work only with Sony Cameras. This is because most drivers used to manage these memories are licensed by Sony.
Try getting another kind of memory card for your camera. I recommend Kingston memories.
Good Luck!

How do I upload pictures from a L200 Samsung

The best way to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

I need to be able to view pictures on my computer need to download free software

You don't need any software to transfer pictures from the camera to the computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). Despite what I said first... There are plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

Memory card error

Hi michellefwon,

Try the card in your computer using a SDHC card reader to see if it will read your picture files. If that doesn't work then you'll have to shop for data recovery software on line. Ontrack Data Recovery is a very reputable recovery company. They offer recovery services by sending them your card or by purchasing their do-it-yourself software.
