You may choose to purchase a newer slow cooker. However, don't just toss out your current West Bend model 85156. Either dispose of it at a local electronics recycling collection center, or sell the crockery liner and the base separately through a resale website. There may be individuals who have an unbroken lid who may need to find a replacement crock and / or base. Plus, there may be some crafty person who can use the base and crock only for a project.
Curcelia, Replacement knobs may be found at your local hardware store or links below. "I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button. Check out some of my other posts if you need more tips and info."
Under the section on Heat Precautions you will note:
Do not use the cooking pot or cover on the stovetop, under the broiler, in the freezer, or in the oven. You may use the cooking pot in the microwave oven, but do not place the glass cover in the microwave oven as it has a metal ring.
West Bend's parts page for this crockpot is here. They say the liner's not in stock right now, but maybe that means you'll eventually be able to get one. They also have a contact link so you can try getting more information from them.
