I can not read my text messages. I can not receive text messages because it says that the memory is full.

No need to do all these things you can easily solve it by only one simple trick.First make back-up all the important data which is stored in your phone memory and just type *#7370#,enter the security code.wait until the phone restart itself.Good luck

I had to got to message and select deleted messages and delete them. If you delete them they are still there until you clear them. I didn't know this.

Format it at ur own risk

1.go to the Menu
2.settings
3.phone settings
4.reset
5.reset all setting
6.it ask for code and the code is 000000
7.u can now send and receive ur msgs....
8.enjoy!!!!!!!

when saying memory full that does no mean the text messages memory is full it means the phone's memory is full, the messages are saved on you sim card so try deleting some app on you phone

yes... i am also getting same problem.

total SMS memory is 500 ie 200 for inbox , 200 for sentbox, 50 outbox and 50 for drafts. your my folder SMS's are still considering in inbox. that should not be more than 200.

Pictures, saved music or files and games. I believe.

1. please check the knind of memory in use.
2. Your phone memory may be free and not the sim memory
3. Please try in some different handset and check if you have the same problem
4. if there is no problem in a diffeerent handset then it's a problem with mobile phone.

One of my few complaints about my Z3 is the low message capacity. I have a 2gb sd card in there...why can't I store more than 500 texts?
But...500 is a lot more than 10, there's definitely a problem here.
I know there's a way to change the default storage location, although I'm not sure it will change the location of texts or not. Here's how to do it:
Go to the main menu and select "Settings". Scroll down to "Phone Status" and select it. Then select "Download Location" and finally, select the memory card.

Now...What concerns me the most is the 4Tb message flood O_o
