Installation unable to install printer lexmark x9350

Hi I have trouble installing my lexmark x9350 printer.
Apparently the installation program does not see the printer when usb connected. OS does see it and asks for driver and installation but there is no way to go on with the appropriate installation application. TRied to install it with my Mac ( so much easier than XP) and finally got the printer to jopin the wireless network, but even so it is impossible to use it with XP because it does not recognize part of the drivers( boith downloaded and provided with cd)message is driver unknown almost at the end of the installation
help!
