    Kwman77,

thank you for your quick update.

I don't know if they ever will give me the answer about the control modul, I check the web in order to find a spare part but it is coming up over 500 US$+shipment. All the local stores that I check told me the same story: Polaroid spare part are impossible to find, even the Sears service center, that seams to be the one authorize to repair Polaroid LCD told me that the waiting time will be around 6 weeks if we are lucky and that will cost 425 US$+Labor, expect around 600 US$ total.

For this money I will buy a new one.

Anyway thank you very much for your suggestion and I will follow up with you if something change, let's hope for the best.

    Thank you

Buyer74,

I received one email response from Jean Hoxie-Wasko (Sr. VP of Customer Service), stating that she would send me a replacement Control Module. That was Monday afternoon of this week. However, I have sent two follow up emails requesting status and so forth, but have yet to hear back. I'm going to give them till End of Business tomorrow or Friday before pursuing other options.

It seemed like exceptional customer service on her part, but the fact that she has not given me any other information regarding the shipment of the replacement part has left me in the dark as to when I can expect to receive it. I could have the TV at a local repair shop right now getting fixed, but I have decided to hold off on that with the hopes that the replacement resolution will actually happen.

This could turn out to be even more of a hassle, but I will give them one or two more days to respond. Worst case, I will file a complaint with the BBB. I checked their website and Polaroid has an "unsastifactory" rating with them, so I'm not holding my breath that the issue will be resolved as easily as by emailing the Sr. VP of Customer Service, Quality & Logistics.

Good Luck, and keep me posted on your situation. Maybe we can start rounding up people to bring Polaroid into the National spotlight regarding poor quality products and customer service. If we can impact the price of their stock, then mabye we can get some resolutions.

For what it's worth, I do know that the problem is with the Control Module and if you can find the replacement part for it, that may be the best route to go. The cost will surely be around $400, but maybe you will get lucky. You may try contacting a local big screen or LCD TV repair shop and see what they would charge as well.

Thanks

My Revlon scissors need to be sharpened. They have been sharpened in the past by mailing them in to the company. Where should they be sent?

Hello, Bill -

In trying to find the right address for you to send your Revlon brand scissors for sharpening, I found some posts about Revlon implements on this website:
https://www.merchantcircle.com/revlon-implement-irvington-nj/review/list

The posts were all about sharpening for Revlon brand tools, including scissors.

One post dated 21 Mar 2016 states:
[Quote]
Thanks to a 2013 post on this review site, I finally found the updated address for the Revlon Implement Service Dept. and mailed off my cuticle nippers for sharpening (after maybe 30 years of great service). Just ten days later, I received a brand new pair from Revlon with a note explaining that they no longer offer repairs or service but do of course honor the lifetime warranty by full replacement at no charge. The letter offered that if you ever need to return a beauty tool you can send them to the following address: Revlon Consumer Information Center, Lifetime Guarantee, P.O. Box 6113, Oxford, NC 27565.
[End quote]

So, it appears Revlon no longer offers sharpening of their beauty implements. Period.

I suggest you make sure about that. This is the link to the Revlon Contact Us page:
http://www.revlon.com/contact
There you will see a toll free phone number you can call as well as a form you can fill out to send an email message.

Best wishes.

On 4/16 , I purchased a dehumidifier and registered it as requested. You returned me a copy of the warranty on e-mail address [email protected]om but with minor computer problems I lost it before copying...

Mr Schillie, you need to contact the manufacturer for that information. FixYa (the website you posted the message on) is not the Manufacturer or Dealer and would not have sent you that email message.

I am not receiving my yahoo mail, any suggestions

Hi,
please make sure that you are able to open and send mails. If not please send request to your mail admin/helpdesk. If you are able to send mail, just send mail to yourself, if you get, everything is OK. otherwise try to remove your undesirable mails nincluding inbox, outbox, sent Items, draft and trash (Deleted Items).

If you are using mail from an exchange server, please contact your MS Exchange administrator to know your space and attachment size limit.

If you are using outlook, please have a backup of your existing pst and ost and create new one.

Best of luck, if not able, pl contact me

FLM- 3732

Buyer74,

Yes, I did receive the control box from them. However, it was not functional either. I ended up taking my TV and both bad control boxes to a local repair shop. The one Polaroid sent me was the least expensive to repair since it only had a bad power supply. It still cost $189 to fix, but it's better than $400 for the cost of a new control box.

Polaroid has requested that I send them the bad one from my TV. I will not be sending it back to them unless they refund me for the cost of repairing the control box they sent me.

If yours works, then I bid you congratulations. If it doesn't, then have someone check the power supply 1st. You may even try switching the power supply from your old one with the new one and see if it works. Keep me posted.

Thanks
