You may have a back light inverter board bad.
undo the back and check the power supply for bad caps in the inverter area , or check the inverter board

Olevia model 537-b12 loses the picture after 10 minutes to an hour run time. sound stays on. any thoughts?

if you look closely can you see any picture what-so-ever? grab a flashlight and check to see if you see a very dark image on the screen. if so you need to check voltages coming from power supply to the inverter board - if the voltages are good - order inverter boards - if you can see the backlights on - check your Main and tcon boards..

thanks,
michael

Dynex 32" tv picture goes black

If there is still about ? 24. Volts coming from the Power Board when it goes dark, it will be the Inverter board that needs replacing. If not, it is the Power Board that needs replacing. The Voltages should be written next to the sockets & plugs on the Power Board.

I have an Olevia 237-t12 hdtv, I will lose the picture but still have sound, I can turn the rv off wait a couple of minutes and turn the tv back on, it will play for minutes then go dark again, but I never...

I had the same problem with the exact same TV. I took it to a local TV shop. My problem was fixed by replacing the T-Con controller board. The cost of the part was about $85 and labor $125. There are no "new" parts out there for Olevias because the company is out of business but I did find a part pulled from a "damaged in transit" TV. It's a personal decision (assuming the parts can be found) as to if its cost effective to repair the TV.

Image lost after 5 min turning on the tv, sound was ok.

I would suspect overheating of an electric component in the power supply of the lamp (backlight) of your lcd tv. bring it in for repairs.

LCD Screen going bad?

This set has had a problem with the LVDS cable from the Main PCB to the panel. The wires are delicate and the connection is not that great. Sometimes unplugging and reseating the cable does clear intermitent problems like yours up. Good Luck
