Trying to print a picture from my dell computer. when i hit print on the computer printer does not print. what button do i push on the printer itself. when i go to view/print it just says to insert memory...

With the printer power on, unplug and then plug in the printer from/to the computer. This should force the printer to be reinstalled.
Check the printer status.
Click START>Control Panel>Devices and Printers>click on your printer. check the status for any error messages. On the printer status, delete all pending jobs. Once the printer status display shows that all pending jobs have been deleted, retry printing.
Let me know if printing is reestablished. Thanks.

My printer shows ''User intervension required'' other than ''Ready''

The issue may be resolved by clearing the pause printing in the printer driver or by setting up a parallel connection with the computer. Clear pause printing
  1. From the Windows Desktop, select Start , Settings , and Printers .
  2. Right-click the HP LaserJet printer icon that is being used.
  3. Select the Work Offline or Pause Printing option (if enabled) to remove the check.
  4. Print the document again.
Establish parallel connection
  1. Turn off the printer or remove the printer from the network.
  2. Connect the printer to the PC using a parallel cable.
  3. Power on the printer.
  4. Print the document again. NOTE: If the User Intervention Required message reappears, disable or remove any HP LaserJet software utilities loaded on the system (for example, Status Window, HP Toolbox, etc.). Prove printer functionality and troubleshoot communications; try printing again.
Uninstall and reinstall the driver After performing a cold reset on a product installed with USB, a higher DOT4_00x port is created, causing the printer to hang while printing. NOTE: This is required with products installed on a USB port only.
  1. Uninstall the USB printer driver.
  2. Remove the HP folder and AIO folder from the hard drive.
  3. Reinstall the USB printer driver.
CAUSE: This error can occur if when using a network or printing from a laptop. When the print job goes into a pending status, the printer is either in Work Offline or Pause Printing mode. Hope this helps. Please rate my response.
Thanks.
Have a good day.

I have a Netgear PS121v2 USB printer server connected to my rounter and a Samsung Laser Printer ML-1250. For some reason I cannot print anything because the printer status indicates the printer is paused....

Try purging the pending print jobs then try to print again. Go to Printer and Faxes on XP, then right click on your printer icon then select purge print jobs. Or double-click on the printer icon on your system tray (lower right hand of the screen) then click on the pending print jobs then purge it. Then try to print again.

Trying to print, but Status Paused is showing

Hi

Thanks for using FIxYa. Please turn the printer off and then cancel all the print queues pending in the bottom toolbar by double clicking on the printer logo if you want to delete all the pending printing files. Now turn the printer on. If you do not want to cancel all the printing jobs then you can double click on the printer logo showing in the right side of the bottom tool bar and then right click on the printing jobs pending for printings then click on restart printing. Issue will be resolved and it will not show ‘paused status’.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

HP PSC 2410 stopped printing. Reinstalled sw - printer scans faxes prints self test but won't print docs! HELP!

When you reinstalled it did you unplug it from the computer. Often links to printers are lost, it's a Windows thing, frequently people reinstall in desperation, forgetting to uninstall the original and disconnect the printer USB. So, unplug the printer USB from the computer, go to control panel, and printers and delete the printers that you are going to reinstall which you see there. Then go to add and remove programs and remove all software.
If there are print jobs pending you may not be able to uninstall or delete, so click the printer and delete all jobs pending, then try the uninstall again.
When all is uninstalled, restart the system and reinstall, plugging in the printer only when the software asks for it.
It being an HP the uninstall option may well be on the installation disc so you can use that if you wish.

Will not print

We will experience this issue if the documents are pending on the printer icon or if the printer icon is paused. Check the status of the printer icon in control panel and clear all the pending documents and make it online if it is offline and then try to print.
