I have an hp laptop that a purchased under a year ago its an x2 turion entertainment 14'.....it cant be turned on....at first it would start to turn on for 10 seconds you would hear the fan and it would light up, then everything goes blank....thought it was power supply, tried anthother cord but still wont work. now i think the battery is completely drained because the laptop isnt doing anything anymore once you press the power button. I purchased it from best buy...can i still get my warranty , or what do you think is the problem

Yes you can set up an RMA "return merchandice authorization" with the manufacture for 1 year date of purchase. Best Buy can pull up your purchase and print you a new receipt.

PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM SODIMMs. maximum memory is 2GB which would be 2x1GB sticks. I would remove the cover on the bottom of your laptop and remove the memory installed to check the type and size.
The dv6000 series was commonly affected by the video card heating up and reseating itself. This was usually a soldering issue. You have a few options, You can either replace the motherboard, or have the motherboard reflowed. Unfortunately the video card itself is not detachable or individually replaceable.
I personally would recommend the second option as purchasing another dv6000 board will likely end you up in the same situation a year or 2 later.
The 9500 series unit, should still be within warranty.
HP offeers an additonal year for video problems.
That means if you purchased the 1 1/2 years ago, it is still in warranty.
Contact HP customer care and get it back. ASAP.
