In short, no. Not without an expensive adapter which includes a corrective lens (which also reduces the optical quality). Even then, the lens will be fully manual only and might only be operable at the widest aperture setting.

If your Canon uses the APS-C sized sensor (all except a few highly expensive professional full-frame models do) then the 70-210 lens will produce a cropped image as if you were using a 112-336mm lens, so it may also be less useful to you.

Is this lens compatible with a Canon Rebel XS digital camera

Sigma makes lenses with a variety of mounts to fit a variety of cameras. If the lens has a Canon mount then it will work with your XS. If has some other mount, Nikon for example, then it will not.

Does my Sigma 28-105 mm Aspherical for film camera work on my Canon 5D Mark III?

If the Sigma lens mount is a Canon FD fitting then you can get an adapter FD to EF that will allow you to use the old lens in manual mode. If your camera isn't designed to take EF-s lenses then they will not fit on the camera. My EF-s lenses will not fit on my 6D.

Sigma 70-210mm f/4-5.6 UC II compatible with Canon 10D and Nikon D7000?

It depends on the lens mount. Sigma makes varieties of their lenses for different camera mounts. A lens with a Canon mount will be compatible with any current Canon camera. A lens with a Nikon mount will be compatible with a Nikon camera. Any one lens can fit one but not the other.

Canon EOS 300d will not close aperture on sigma lens

Hi
It is well known that some lenses made by Canon for the EOS film camera range do not work well with digital SLRs. Canon lenses work fine but it may be worth checking if the Sigma has a known problem with EOS digtal bodies.

Martin

Canon rebel xt error messages

I have the same problem. So far I've contacted Sigma (I believe this is the company that manufacturers the Quantaray lens for Ritz) and they requested I send them a photo of the lens. I just googled sigma lens to find sigma support. I will update you all with any response I may get.

Sigma 28-300 3.5-6.3 won't focus

Did it ever work on this camera?
I have seen some Sigma lenses that are auto focus on canon film cameras but then when put on the digital they dont work right. If you have used it on this camera then make sure the lens is clean.sometimes dirt on the front wil make it try focusing on the dirt. Next try focusing in manual focus to make sure the focus is working. Then take the lens off and then put it back on and make sure it clicks into place.

Let me know if none of those things work. also make sure to try focus on something close and somthing far away.

let me know how it works,
Caleb

I'm looking at buying a Canon EOS 400d and wonder if anyont can confirm whether my lens from old Canon EOS 620 film camera body will be compatible. (Unfortunately lens in storage at moment so I can't...

The canon lens should work fine. Some of the Sigma lenses have to be converted by Sigma to work with digital. The last one I sent to them they only charged me $10 for return shipping. You can find their address online.
