My hpdeskjet 920c quit printing in the middle of a document and there is an orange light flashing above a symbol on the printer that looks like an ink cartridge with a tear drop in the middle of it. I replaced the black cartridge but it won't work and light is still flashing. Help!

The first light (from left to right) is the Print Cartridge Status.
This will flash if one or more of the ink cartridges are low or the cartridge incorrectly inserted. Also flashes if the wrong type of cartridge inserted. If the ink is low the light will stop flashing when you open the top cover of the printer.
The second light is the Resume Light. This will flsh when anaction isequired such s loading paper or clearing a paper jam.
The third light is the Power light. This will flash green when the printer is printing.
Hi,
Make sure Orange protective cap (tape) has been removed from the bottom of the ink cartridge.
Either ink Cartridge is not installed properly or the function for detecting the ink level is disabled.
Make sure that you install ink cartridges at correct position as indicated by the label on the print head holder. Press PUSH mark until ink cartridge click into the place.
Hope this will solve your problem.
Thanks for using Fixya.
A flashing orange battery charging light is a failry universal symbol that means the battery is detected, but NOT charging. Usually, this means the battery has gone bad. In some cases, a slow orange flash means bad, a fast flash means very very low charge (or vice versa)
Are you out of ink? when you open the lid to the printer while it is turned on look at were your ink cartridge stops and that will tell you if you are out of colour or black ink. Which light is blinking the one on top of the paper symbol or the one on top of the ink symbol. It may be that your cartridge either black or white just need to be taken out and put back in I found that if I wiped the bottom of the ink cartridge where sometimes you get build up that it would work again or give it a shake but make sure you cover up the bottom were the ink comes out before you shake it. Hope this helps!
on the paper tray look for the cork like(square in shape) moist it with water and all other rubber rollers.
try placing an oil on the round bar wer inks moves to lubricate.
lastly check the ink bay section inside the printer if it work. How? just open the printer cover and you will hear rolling noise.you can view it
Either you have ran out of an ink, because some epsons wont run until you replace cartridge, you have a document pending a print, or you need to disconnect printer, uninstall drivers from Add/emove programmes.
Re-install driver then re connect printer when prompted
