Question about Audio Players & Recorders

2 Answers

I have a Samsung HT-Z310 surround sound system. I've had this machine for about a year and a half. Just recently, I've been getting the "Fan Check" message on the word display box. I took the cover off of the machine. When I turn the system on, the fan isn't running. I'll turn on the system and I'll still recieve the "Fan Check" message. Eventually, the HT-Z310 will automatically turn off. What should I do? Do I need a new fan?

Guys, I know this is an old post but I had the same problem recently. Took it to my mate and he said the fan at the back was full of dust which was stopping the fan blades spinning. He sprayed it with compressed air from a can and it works perfectly. Complete fix for only five pounds for the compressed air off eBay

I just got finishing chatting with a customer service person on the Samsung website and it seems that yes a new fan is necessary. I was told to register my surround sound and then place a service request to find an authorized service center. I
I found the fan on amazon for about $7, so I plan to buy one and install it myself.

Sound from Onkyo CD player well and fine. Then connected the Samsung DVD HT-Z310 to Video3 (L/R audio in, V-in from L/R Audio out and V-out of Samsung) but no sound or nor video on TV? Tried to fix it...

What am I missing here?

There are a lot of models mentioned in this post. What are WE discussing?

* A Samsung HT-Z310 is a Home Theater System.

* An Onkyo TX-DS777 is higher-end AV Receiver that DOES have a Video 3 input which accepts composite video and analog audio.

* An Onkyo CD player is irrelevant to the TV sound in any scenario.

* Unnamed TV.

I don't see any path in your narrative that would carry audio TO the TV. Is there an unmentioned HDMI cable in here somewhere? I see no other audio outputs on the HTZ.

Are you running the HT-Z310 through an Onkyo receiver to somewhere (?) else?

The fewer hops and inteconnects a given signal experiences between its source and your senses, the better. I always run the BEST video from any source to the TV first; the best Audio to the BEST audio electronics. If that helps.

My HT-Z310 surround sound says protect

The amplifier has a bad channel, the power supply is bad, or the amplifier is drawing too much power.The speakers could also be wrong, if they are not the speakers that came ith th unit, they will need to be replaced. (Any speakers within the specs of the amplifier will work, so to that end the system is customizable. You can go to Samsung.com to find the amplifier's wattage per channel, but the speakers you get MUST be 3 ohms impedance.) I have an article/tip/how-to as to wiring multiple speakers to one channel.

Hello and thank you in advance for helping me resolve this.... i have a insignia 52 flat screen tv.... i just installed a samsung ht z310 home theater... i tried everything and i cant seem to get the sound...

have you connected the optical cable. as the only way to get sound from the tv to the surround is via that link. the hdmi cable only send video and audio to the tv not both ways for some reason.
