Contacts disappeared from storage card when phone linked to new PC

I have lost 100's of contacts when I set up the phone through Activesync with a new PC. I have not formatted the card but cannot see the contacts on the storage card or the phone other than the contacts saved on the sim card (about 20%).

When you make a new relationship - connection with a PC you should always backup the whole mailbox first.(messages,contacts,calendar...)Because the ActiveSync erases the "old" contacts. So,can u go back to the "old" PC (where the contacts are OK) and try to synchronize your contacts? Make a new connection with Act.Sync.If u want to update or add contacts, its better to do it via your mail client(MS Outlook for example) first and then synchronize your PDA.Good Luck.

When I add a new contact, it is saved for that day only. When I connect my charger, the new contacts are lost.

Go to settings and select where your contacts are stored 'phone/tablet storage' or SIM card storage.

Select SIM card. New contains will remain stored however you plug in your charger

My deleted file is in the sd card.. can the phone memory or whatever storage it has in the phone can recognize the files in the phone memory? -- is the phone memory or any storage of phone can read and...

Usually the SD card is a secondary storage device ... and separate from the (internal) phone memory. To determine / test this, see if your phone still have (some) information when you remove the SD card from the phone... e.g. your telephone contact list, etc.
Yes, you can try to recover the "deleted" file on the SD card using a PC / laptop ... using a data recovery utility/tool (on your PC) to scan the storage space or "undelete" that deleted file..

If your phone can be attached to a PC (e.g. via USB), and if your PC recognizes the "storage" disk on your phone as an "external" disk, you may also be able to use a data recovery utility to scan the storage space or "undelete" that deleted file.

How to save phonebook of Samsung SCH-B559 in Desktop Computer

Hi,
Buy the Samsung OEM data cable along with the ActiveSync install CD. These are purchased together as a set from a reputable cell phone dealer . Enable your computer to access transfer data from your computer to your Samsung BlackJack cell phone by installing the ActiveSync CD. Before installing ActiveSync make sure all other programs are closed.
  • Insert the OEM data cable to your Samsung BlackJack cell phone.Plug in the other end of the OEM data cable to your computer using the USB port.

  • Watch as transfer begins automatically with the ActiveSync program. This will transfer your stored phone numbers from your computer to your Samsung BlackJack cell phone.

End the ActiveSync program by closing the window. Open the contact information in your Samsung BlackJack phone to make sure all information was transferred.

How can I save numbers to my sim card?

Set your phone to sinchronize your contacts with your PC (if not already set), and sync them. Then, start Outook on your PC, go to the Contacts tab, select the contacts you want to see excluded from your phone's internal memory, and delete them (either go to 'Edit > Delete', or 'Ctrl-D', or simply 'Del'). Now, re-synchronize your phone with your PC. I suppose ActiveSync on your phone will automatically delete the contacts you have excluded from Outlook on your PC.
    Hope it works for you.
    Cheers! Carlos
