If it is a high pitch sound it may be the fan motor bearings. You will hear the squeal even with the door closed. This problem is solved by replacing the fan motor.

it's the aluminum defroster coils cooling after a defrost cycle.
a padded aluminum foil-covered mat installed behind the defrost heater in the back of the fridge is a fix at least for Samsung I know.
The noise your hearing is comming from an aluminum timeing chain guide on the drivers side of the timeing chain. My truck had the same problem. The noise first started when the engine was started and then within seconds went away. I drove it for about a year not knowing what the noise was comming from. A few weeks ago the noise got very loud and the truck stopped starting eventually. A few hours ago I pulled the front of the motor off to replace the timeing chain and my guid was broken right off and laying at the bottom of my oil pan. You can remove the two allen head bolts that hold this guide in place and run the vehicle without the guide. Problem solved and no more noise.
Problems not related. The first is most likely the fan, or possibly water dripping on to the fan and freezing, but usually the noise comes from the fan struggling to run. The cube problem could be as simple as the ice dispenser being put back in wrong. There is a metal lever under the ice tray that switches between crushed and cubed. Make sure it is seated properly.

unplug the fridge 2-3 minutes and see if it resets the computor to make
the ice control work normally again. You can also open up and get the
cubes out cheaper than having it repaired. Sorry about that!
