Side by side door is hard to open - Whirlpool Refrigerators

Have you tried wiggling it side to side? The diswasher may not be secured properly and will vibrate while running. If the counter opening is relatively small it can be hard to open the door if the dishwasher is off center.

You will need to take inside door panel loose which is a little hard with door shut but it can be done and probably replace door Handel if the Handel it's self is not broke it's most likely just a little plastic clip that holds the rod to the lock

It seems to be that side door is not properly closed. Please reopen side door close it again. If it still not work, let's clean up dust from sensor and then try again. Also, please check whether hard drives are properly connected or not.

If you are lucky, you can adjust at the hinge

Are the door hinges OK. The doors are heavy and often the bushings wear out making the door hard to open.

make sure big compartment door on frige side is completely closing and not holding door open

i'd suggest you just grease the channel top and bottom where the arm slides to hold the door as it's sliding open or closed

hi it sounds like either the lock broke or the rods in side of your door have fallen off.you will have to remove the door panel off with the door closed to manualy move the lever in door to get open.it is verry hard with door closed to get door pannel off

When you shut the door there is a vacuum occuring and causing the doors to be hard to open. Take someting like a popcicle stick, break it in half and put them together, one on the other and tape it to the gasket at the bottom of the ref side door. This will make a vacuum break and should make the doors easier to open. Also, make sure your gaskets are clean, no sticky stuff on them or the frame.

its because the door seals are new and are working correctly. The pressure difference between the warm outside and the cold inside cause a sort of vaccum and so makes it hard to open. It is usually only after the door has been closed a while that it will be hard to open. put your finger around the edge of the door and shift the seal slightly, this will release the vaccum and let the door open normally. It will get better after a few weeks. I have had 2 whirlpools also and this has been the same on both of mine.
