Windows update disconnected my Altec Lansing BX2 speakers sound.What should I do?

Altec Lansing used to be good, but not any more. I had one that buzzed even when switched off. As it was in my bedroom, I put it all back in the box like new and gave it to a Christmas present drive for underprivileged children.

The speaker with the controls goes on the right. Here is the installation manual

reinstall driver and select correct playback device in 'options'

I have ALTEC LANSING DP/N 08506P speakers om my Windows 7 PC. The left speaker works fine but no sound from the right speaker. I "think" this is a rather recent event. Can you help?

Use system restore to a point when the speakers were working. Then take it from there.

mam, camputer havedrivrs installted on them.......... if yopu are rumming windows 98 you driver that had came with ytour speakes..........

Hi there bud ,. Windows 7 Should automaticaly update too the latest drivers , otherwise try google . Altec Lnsing Drivers and you should find it..

If you are using windows media player check if your player is configured to have an echo. If it is configured remove it. If it is not configured to have an echo and if you are using any soundcard have that sound card check by an expert or by your vendor and let them check it out if it is still under warranty.

Doing a driver search don't help much, so I recommend 2 things here, wait until MS, make a Service Pack Cd, for Vista, or go to the Altec Lansing Page and see if for your particular model, there are drivers for vista.
other than that, a generic sound driver, could fix the problem.
