Question about Lucien Piccard 26024 Wrist Watch

1 Answer

My new lucien Piccard 28116BK will not run. It is an automatic winder. If I swing it back and forth the the main wheel will start oscillating but will stop again in about a minute. I've tried to wind it up by wearing it and swinging my arm but it will not run. Any suggestions?

You should be able to wind it manually. Pull out the crown to the winding position and wind fully. With any automatic watch you should do a manual wind periodically.

Value for 28116BK

about $100.

Lucien Piccard is a brand with distant Swiss heritage, which now has the same address as Invicta, SWI group, Stuhrling/Akribos and World of Watches. Asian manufacture and always a deep "discount" from list price. This isn't to say that they don't have some great looking watches, only intended as a bit of background to the company.

Just bought automatic will not "wind" style 28195BK

If your watchcannot be wound up (by this I assume you mean using the crown wheel), you can wind it by swinging it gently from side to side for a few minutes (200-300 oscillations).

If the watch does not work after doing this, then send it back to the supplier and ask for a replacement/refund).

This watch will not keep working. I spin it around and it works for a min. or two.... is there a way to manually wind this watch?

An automatic watch can be wound up by holding them level and swinging it from side to side and several minutes (one maker said swing it 200-300 times).

Once fully wound, the watch should keep working if it is worn daily. Most automatic watches will run for 2-3 days if not worn.

How do i get my Lucien Piccard 26570SL Automatic running?

You have to wind the watch first. Pull out the crown (the knob on the right side of the watch) to the intermediate position (the winding position will not move the hands or the date so this is how you know that you are in the correct place. Most watches have 3 positions where you can set the date, time, and wind it) and wind the watch. It will need to be re-wound every 24-48 hours.
