My SyncMaster 940BW Samsung monitor does not respond to any Laptop/computer connection. The on/off blue botton is blinking. It worked well a while ago. ANy suggestions?

Hi there,
You can try to disconnect VGA cable to see will the notification "no VGA signal" appear on screen. If so the problem could be with PC graphics, else it is power board problem bad caps. Thanks

My model : Samsung SyncMaster 940bw After change of setting, I am getting images which are not clear and crisp and having less colour content

Good Morning!
One thing that I have noticed when I change settings on my monitor is that sometimes it needs to be re-aligned. Thankfully this is very easy to do. There is a button on the bottom right of the screen that says "Auto". dantheman286.png
Press this button and you should see the screen shift and become sharper.
If this does not work, you may want to change the monitor back to the default settings. You can do this by navigating through the menu: Press the Menu Button -> Select "Setup" from the on-screen menu -> And then separately select "Image Reset" and "Color Reset".
Please feel free to comment back if this does not solve your problem.
Thanks!

I have a samsung syncmaster 940bw the other day while using it while surfing the web the screen went white and i cant seem to be get access to the menu on it

The screen went white can be due to failed T-CON board or failed power supply, I would inspect the power supply and the ribbon cable between the logic board and the LCD panel.

Broken mount on back of monitor to base

the easiest solution would be to epoxy the mount back though you may loose ability to tilt monitor, be sure not block any air holes. when setting together tape it to proper spot and let set for recommended time on epoxy(get at hardware store).

Try removing signal cable and refitting at both ends.
Signal cable also could be faulty.
