A Line Output Converter (LOC) is the cheapest, simplest option. You should be able to get one at any of the local car audio shops.

I hooked up a punch 250 a2 amp the l.e.d came on with no problem then i turned the car on and the amp smoked a little bit did i blow the amp the l.e.d still was on i just unhooked quickly to be safe

Hopefully you havent blown the amp, check ALL of the wiring, make sure that your earth connection is connected to a clean metal area and make sure that the power cable you are using is big enough for the job. The Punch range of amps require a fair bit of power. skinny power cables wont help your situation and if too thin, then the amount of current could melt the plastic casing could cause a fire.

I have a rockford fosgate punch P325.1 subwoofer mono amp that blows a fuse every time i start the car. I have a second pioneer amp but that works with no problems. How can i fix this?

Is it the correct size fuse ? Is it the power fuse or remote ? Either way check your connections going into the amp . Try this hook your other amp to the set of wires for the rockford if that amp has a problem its a wireing problem if not chances are its an interal problem on the rockford . Hope this helps !

How do you install an amp in new cars when the factory radio is basically an computer and doesn't come out of the dash?

You need to use a Hi Low Converter. They have a different name but I cant think of it right now. Basically it connects to your rear speaker and converts it to RCA connectors that you could connect to your amp. Then connect your amp to power (battery) and Ground to power it up. Last thing to do is connect yours speakers to the amp.

Also get a high Low converter with remote connection.

Power and ground are good cant get amp to turn on

Don't forget the most inportant one, the remote wire!!!! It tells the amp when to turn on/off. Should be connected to your aftermarket radio amp or power anteanna lead (should be blue). If running a factory radio you can use the radio fuse power to provide a signal to it..

Multi amp hook-up

honestly i dont think those to amps will push cvxs no matter how you wire them up.
the rms on the 200 should be used to push a door speaker.
the 800watt should deff just be hooked to 1 cvx but still wont max it out.

Amp arc

What you need to do is first ground your amplifier securely then make sure all connections are fastened. don't remove the speaker connection and listen for sound. If there is no sound power down the unit, and send it to a repair shop because it sound like you may have damaged some components in the unit. But in order to come to this point you have to make sure you ground the unit properly and then make sure all of your connections are secure. Contact me once this is done and you are ready to do some tests.

No power

hi, some car amps need a high current remote supply to turn on. first make sure that you are using the proper gauge b+ and gnd cable for this particular rockford amp. then try switching the remtote turn on to this amp thru a simple Relay.(use the remote supply from your headunit as a trigger for the relay). do these connections without connecting any spks or rca line inputs. once amp is switching on then connect all other cables. OR lastly check the main fuse on the RF amp?? cheers

Hooked my punch Punch P450.4 up to speakers and ran rca cables to front and it wont work

Hi Jon,  you need to hook the Remote wire up to the Radios  Blue remote wire.  The car battery power stays on all the time.  The blue Remote wire watches to see when the radio turns on, and signal the amp to turn on as well.
