Question about Mitsubishi VS-50707 50" Rear Projection Television

Mitsubishi vs-50707 Hello, First of all thank you for responding to my 1st message. jaime867 here is a picture of the lines going across the screen I posted a message earlier and you said you wanted to see a pic. These are wobbling lines going horizontally across the screen. Any ideas of what it might be?

The problem could in the 9Volt, and 3 Volt regulator supplies.
Replacing C2P05 (100ufd. @ 16 VDC), and C2P08 (also 100 @ 16 ) might fixed problem. They are located near IC2P01, and IC2P03.

The numbers(C2P05, C2P08) means the place where to find the parts that need to be change.

Possible that the fault is thermally related and if you can check and see the stage which changes the fault when it is warm , you can confirm by using a heater on the specified area which is warm after cooling and if the fault corrects, then the component can centered and confirmed by this method. It can be faulty capacitors, drivers or even poor solder joints.

I have a Mitsubishi 50" Big Screen Model VS-50707. When trying to turn it on, it blinks once and clicks, then doesn't turn on. It has been doing this for a while, but eventually would come on and need some...

The picture tubes are warn out or the deflection circuit is failing. The power supply is struggling to fire them up. Takes a lot of power.
Some TV shops have the know how to replace the tubes. About $1000 parts and labor.

Does the front panal around the screen of my Mitsubishi VS-50707 come off for cleaning behind it?

Yes, front screen can be removed to clean projection mirror and picture tubes lenses.
Remove speaker grille, pull them to remove.
There are 3 screws at bottom of front screen, remove them. There are few wire harness plugs need to be disconnect to remove completely front screen.
Below exploded view of Mitsubishi VS-50607 will help you to remove front screen to clean inside. Be careful while removing screen.

Sounds like the verticle circuit is failing a honest shop will take of this for you around 180-230 if you want to do yourself youll need a iron and some filters and an verticle ic

If the picture looks like a 3D then you have a convergence failure.
I would suggest to visually inspect the STK Ics for dry or crystallized solder joints.

gud day.. you need to bring that on the shop.. there is a problem in the PCB, particulary in its vetical section.. .. if you continue to used that, the problem become bigger..hope i help u w/ ur probs..ty

can you post a picture of the lines that are going across your screen? Sounds like maybe retrace lines.

Mitsubishi VS-50707 - Scrambled picture

on the signal board replace the caps by the 5/9 volt regulators. c2p04 is the main culprit. 6 caps in total can be changed. I believe c2p05 also.
