You will need to remove the door and take the door apart to clean between the glass. This process is not that difficult. Just follow these steps:

1. Open the door all the way and lift straight up at the hinges to remove from oven.

2. Place the door, face down on a soft surface to protect the door and glass. A layer of towels on a countertop or table is recommended.

3. Remove the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. The panel is pressed in place and can be removed by using a small screwdriver or putty knife and carefully insert along the seam of the inner panel. Work your way slowly around the perimeter of the glass to release the clips that hold it in place so you can pry the plastic up and pop the panel loose. Use care not to pry against the glass.

4. With the inner panel removed, the glass should be easily accessible and can be carefully lifted out and cleaned. Clean with a good non-streaking glass cleaner.

Make sure you remember how the door is assembled as you take it apart. If you forget, the following webistes have illustrated parts listings to show how your door is assembled:

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

The microwave door is what I need to clean between the two glasses. Is that done the same way? Would you have to take the door off the microwave? Thanks.

On whirlpool microwave mh6141xkq-1. How does one clean between the glasses? Do you have to take off the microwave door? Thanks Martin Vacca

Martin,
Coming from someone that has dismantled many different microwaves, taking apart a door from your microwave would not be an easy task. There are usually many small plastic tabs that hold different components of the door together and usually several of those will break off when trying to take the door apart. The door is also designed to keep the microwave radiation from coming out the front and if you did not get it put back together correctly, you could expose yourself to that radiation. If it is a problem for you to have the glass dirty, I would recommend taking it to someone professional to have the door taken apart so that they can check afterward to make sure there is no radiation leakage. Hope this helps!

How do you clean inbetween the oven glass door?

Hi,

To clean between you need to remove one of the pieces of glass...usually the inside is the best....

There are a few screws on the inside of the door theat hold the frame, which holds the inside glass...

remove the frame and carefully remove the inside glass... clean the inside of the outside glass, then clean the inside of the inside glass and then reinstall the froame over the inside glass...

Now you have a clean ove glass again...

Microwave door has burn spots on the glass of the door...

The brown spots are usually grease / smoke deposits. Usually there are indeed two sheets of glass in the door. If the grease is not arcing or smoking, and the metal screen / mesh (that blocks microwave leakage) is not damaged, then it's likely better left alone. It might be useful to boil a few cups of water with a little vinegar inside the microwave to help dissolve the deposits. In case you want to take it apart, I have attached a photo from a similar model that illustrates disassembly of the door. It is not necessary or advisable to remove the door or hinges when disassembling the door.
