I have a Kenmore side by side that produces ice very slowly.
When brand new, it would produce ice very quickly, but now it takes weeks to
fill the
bin back up. It seems to harvest ice once a day.
I have tuned up the coldness of the freezer in hopes it would speed up
production, but does not.
I have also made sure that the arm is down, which it has been for a while.
I can
also feel the ice in the tray, it feels solid but doesn't seem to want to
dispense it into the bucket quickly. I can hear it dump ice into the bin,
like I said, about once a day.
After doing some research, I am leaning toward the heating element in the
tray (if there is one).
The thing that gets me is this refrigerator is only 2 1/2 years old!
Thanks
p.s. please respond to me via this news group.
