I have a Dell Dimension E520 that has an error that is 3 lights number 1 2 3.

Please select your windows system.

Select audio and download the driver.

Here is 2 different ones so you have to try.

The file maybe have to be unziped before you install.

Open the system and reseat the RAM and the drive one after the other including the VGA card if it is not onboard

That error code because there is something wrong with your Memory Modules (DRAM). Try to remove and put again on it slot. If you have two or more DRAM, try to install one by one. If each memory no problem try to swap it. You can see the error code for DELL Dimension E520 here.

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to boot

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your motherboard to your hard drive make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?

Here's my point of view of you problem. I have also experienced the same problem since it is always raining here in the Philippines. I just have to ask a few questions before i can give a direct solution to you.
Please provide the following:
1. Do you have a voltage regulator in your computer set. 2. Do you hear a beeping sound everytime you turn your computer on after the incident happened? 3. Does the processor fan still runs after turning your PC on or not? 4. Kindly provide your computer specs.

E520 has 2 usb ports on the front right where the card readers are. It also has 5 (Five) on the back right where your ethernet cable hooks in.
