External devices must be formatted to work properly. You can try to roll back your onboard dvd driver to an earlier version and possibly by doing so it will once again work properly

Laptop not show cd or dvd when i put it

Well, for starters, is your cd/dvd turned on in the bios.  Some but not all computer have a setting for this.  If your cd/dvd drive is removable, shut down the computer, remove the drive.  Reboot the computer and shut it down again.  Then reconnect the drive and start the computer back up.  This will make sure that if your drive is working, windows will redetect it.  You can check device manager to make sure it is not disabled.  If none of this works, you may have a bad drive.  If you really must reinstall windows, you can get an external cd/dvd drive pretty cheap on Ebay.  Just make sure you go into your BIOS setting and change the boot menu to external drive.  I hope this information helps.

Hp nx 5000 - memory problem

The memory modules are located at the bottom of the laptop under one of the panels.
The memory modules may be OK and may only need reseating. Then boot up the laptop to see if it works, if it doesn't work, the memory may be faulty, take it to a computer shop to get it tested.

What program are you using for the dual setup? Place a shortcut in startup. usually an external monitor is used in place of the laptop LCD. The Monitor may need to be #1 and the laptop LCD#2 http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intel852gm/sb/cs-009064.htm?iid=search& This site may help too. Good Luck, Tim
