Look, if you select a temperature above ambient temperature, it will switch from cooling to heating.(assuming that the aircon has a heat pump. most do these days.) Just dont rush the aircon because every time you make a setting change, it takes a while to regulate.

The fujitsu comes with a remote control. Turn unit on with start/stop button and then hit the master control button. You should see heat in the remote control display if the fujitsu unit you have is a heat pump. If it strictly cools you will not have heat. Give the unit a couple of minutes to reverse the refrigerant and then using the set temp. Button set the temperature to your desired heat. This should do the trick.

Hi,

This unit comes with a remote control (optional wall mounted wired thermostat available) as a standard feature. This unit is precharged with the environment friendly R-410a refrigerant. No additional refrigerant is needed if the line set is 49 feet in lenght or shorter. In addition to its very high 20 SEER efficiency rating, the 15RLQ is only 31 in. long which makes it the smallest Mini-Split System in its category through out the industry.
This category of equipment is ideal for smaller spaces where spot cooling is required. Several models in this category are ENERGY STAR Certified, meaning they save you money on your utility bill. Fujitsu mini-splits can provide extra cooling capacity for those hard to cool areas. Commercially, their small size makes them ideal for small offices, providing individual temperature control.

Need a manual to download for model FAH0818R1T

Good Morning Friend, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!

I see that you are looking for the manual of your Frigidaire air conditioner, FAH0818R1T; however, it appears above-listed model number is invalid. The serial, which lists your model number, is typically located behind the front grill by the air outlet or on the side of the cabinet. In the meantime, I have located the Owner's Guide to a similar air conditioner, model number FAH08ER1T1. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you!

the inside unit should be mounted with a slight tilt to the outside - so the water can drain outside.
also - be sure your drain hole (in the unit) is not plugged - either with dirt/debris.

Putting a window air conditioner in the wall

I dont see a problem with these working in the wall, however you will probably need to install a condensate line to drain away the water that will be left from condensation. These items may be purchased from any hardware store.

Hope this helps Ya please rate me

Through the wall vs. window installation

window mount doesn't have to extend out on the back to clear the side /top intake vents because a window is about 2" thick,
but a wall mount has to have about 6 to 8 " clearing before the intakes vents can be exposed. you can't have your intakes buried in the wall.
in short if you see about 8 " of dead metal in the center area (just behind the window sill) then you can mount it in a wall as it will protrude far enough to clear the side /top intakes.

a sleeve just gives you a way to balance / attach to the outside wall

Through the wall vs. window installation

I just purchased an alleged "window mount" air conditioner with the closest dimensions to the existing model. Do these mount as through the wall as well? My current opening = 18 x 26" the new purchase is 16 27/32 x 26.

There are 2 different types of window air conditioners – there are the window type of which will fit in a window that opens top to bottom and there is the slide in model of which the actual air conditioner will slide into a metal sleeve which is very common in apartments. In either case you need to measure the inside of the metal sleeve and then give that to the air conditioner dealer and he will know what to do and there is also a POS (point of sale) @ the store of which will also assist you in the measurement of the A/C unit – the window unit you need to measure the opening of the window itself, I hope this was helpful
