Kids got wii 4 gift from dad it worked fine was plying games on it wii sports came with it haves 5 or 6 games on 1 disc all could play up till not long ago kids not played on it for a little while but later i hook it up else where put disc in and only 1 or 2 games will play others wont it will say disc cant be read go to manual

This may be a multi issue problem. Start with changing the wii position. If ur trying to run a disk horizontal, then chamge unit position to try it verticle. If that doesnt work u may have to do some machine surgery.

If theres no scratches on the disc I would return the game disc first. Then if its still does it just return the wii and hope the game plays on your new one. Since your wiis new anyway its shouldnt be your laser especially since its playing other games fine and if the tony hawk disc isnt scratch those are the only options come to mind.

tried deleteing the save data in the memory management setting on the wii thats having the problem for that game might be some corupt data in there . . . what happeneds when it "doesnt play"

I had this issue before with a particular disc, as well. It may have been LUCK, but unplugging the Wii from the power source for 2 minutes resolved that problem somehow, also.

This is actually the "Wii Play" game. You must unlock each game by successfully completing the previous game. In this case, I believe that you must play, and finish, Billiards or Laser Hockey to unlock Fishing, then complete Fishing to play Charge!, and so on.

If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is totry another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either Wii or Disc. Update the Wii whilst connected to the internet and that may work.

Perhaps you could try the system software update feature in the wii settings menu, since your wii is connected to the internet.

Btw, do you have a USB to wired ethernet adapter for your Wii? I do not have a wired network port on my wii.
