The sight is not helping
You have to go into the router settings by open internet explorer and click in the address bar and type http:\\192.168.0.1
the user name should be admin and the password is password
when the setup screen loads in the left of the screen their is a blue box click basic set up there should be a bit with your aol user name and password in the password box enter the new password
then click apply at bottom of the page
Have you tried resetting the router back to factory settings using the small hole in the rear? This will default it back as it was when you first got it.After doing this you would have to put all your original settings back into it though.
Looking for the NETGEAR WNR1000 default password?
You probably have little reason to access your router on a regular basis so don't feel too bad
f you've forgotten the WNR1000 default password.
However, when you're troubleshooting a network problem and need to get in to the device,
the WNR1000 default password suddenly becomes very important.
For most versions of the NETGEAR WNR1000, the default password is password. As with most passwords,
the WNR1000 default password is case sensitive
Be sure to change the default router password on your WNR1000 to something more secure as soon as you're in.
Then use a free password manager so you'll never forget your new WNR1000 password
hope this helps
Click start run type cmd press Enter
black screen should open DOS mode
this will vary depending on your operating system
type in net user username
For eg. If you want to change administrator password , type net user Administrator
it will prompt you to enter the new password
enter the new password and the password is changed
hope this helps
