Check that the speed control on your joystick is set to high. If it is then you probably have a battery problem. Even with all the lights lit on the joystick you can have one battery of the two on the chair that is not charging fully. This will cause the M51 to creep and not work correctly

Not so much a solution, just a recommendation. I had the same problem with mine within a year of getting it. The dealer mechanic changed the whole joystick box and the problem was resolved.

Have Invacare Pronto M51 which the large gearbox plug keeps falling out. Was unable to get plug to stay in, like it was under pressure. Any trick getting these back in and to stay there?
It seems to be a known issue. Is it the black disc by the axle in this image?

I would put a large hose clip around it. If you have the old one, you can probably get a replacement from Home Depot, or contact the company for a free one.
