My Sharp Aquos flat screen LCD has black stripes, lined with thin white stripes and one blue stripe over about 1/4 of the screen on the left side. They actually turned to many colors and went away on Sunday after the tv was on for a couple hours, but they came back since and won't go away.

View it in "Timeslide" option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. It will make search easy. In most of the case, the problem is the LCD panel, we have seen this before.

You have a bad decoder board my friend and the replacment will have you digging into thy pocket book to grab out $150 bucks for a new board. Now if this is under warranty you can sure take it in for a free repair @ a autherised service center for the sharp. Butthis is a bad decoder board inside the unit.
