You can recover deleted photos from SD card with steps below
1. Do not save any new file to memory card.
2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
4. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

Hi there,
Olympus digital camera stores your photos on a memory card automatically. So,you can retrieve your deleted photos from the memory card.I have succeed to recover deleted photos from SD card of my Olympus camera with Tenorshare. It can recover data after deeply scanning your memory card to look for lost photos you accidentally deleted or formatted. But once the deleted photos were overwritten by new ones, they are gone for good. Therefore, you'd better stop using your camera since you deleted the photos.
Anyway, you can download a trial version and scan your memory card for free to check out whether your deleted photos can be recovered.http://www.any-data-recovery.com/index.htm

Have you restored all your photos back now?
If not, I think I can help you out.
As I know, the deleted files on a camera memory card are not actually destroyed immediately after the deletion process. They are still there and become invisible. So, act carefully to get these deleted files back:
1. Stop using this camera memory card right now in case that any new file on it may overwrite your deleted files.
2. Insert this camera to your computer.
3. Download a camera data recovery freeware to retrieve all your lost files back.
This professional data recovery freeware has helped many people around me restore their inaccessible data off from a phone/camera memory card or hard drive. It could be a good choice for you to go on.
Try to read more detailed information of this data recovery freeware here:
http://blog4mark.blogspot.com/2012/12/photo-recovery-after-delete.html

4. Do not save or back up all the restored data on the same camera memory card in case of any data loss.

To delete photos from Olympus Master "right click" the image you wish to remove. This will bring up a number of options one of which is "Delete". Click on Delete and the job is done.

SOURCE: DELETING PHOTOS ON OLYMPUS C-420L

To format the card:
1 Pressing the Erase mode button and the Flash mode
button at the same time sets the screen to the YES/NO
display.
2 Press the OK button to start formatting (the Card error
indicator blinks). Press the Erase mode button to cancel
the mode.
3 When the card formatting is done, the Card error indicator
goes off.
To re-format the card intentionally:
Press the Erase mode button and the LCD monitor ON/OFF
button simultaneously, with the power OFF, to set to the Yes/No display and then press ok.

SOURCE: Olympus Master 2 no longer responds.

Very bad program, bugs not solwed, as well as conflicts with other soft. Use any other, even freeware program, it will be better. There is no solution, and support from Olymus does not want, or does not know how to solve proble.
Contrary to posted reply that virus is responsible for bad behaviour of Master 2, yes it can be the problem, but this program has problems, and virus is not causing it to freeze or crash.
