GA-8IPE 1000 - Sound help please

Hi Everyone, Can anybody tell me if there is a way, when using the onboard sound on a GA-8IPE1000 Pro2, to have the sound coming out of the rear audio connector but use the front audio connector for a microphone? I'd appreciate any help, Gazza how can i connect my 5.1 speakers to a motherboard with only 3 rear audio rear connectors (ASUS MB). Thanks!

As far as your first question it is possible. there may be an option in the bios. if not. you can bust out the soldering iron and solder the lines for you frontal mic port to the card.maybe put some sort of connector inline

and for your second question. there is no way. unless you upgrade your sound card. although i do have a logitech 5.1 system that uses some sort of matrix technology to emulate surround sound out of a standard stereo input. cost me 60 bucks and works great
