Hi
The problem is that parts are aging inside the TV. A qualified technician can give you an estimate to replace these parts and realign the power supply voltages.

Anything new has a chance of failure the first month or so from cold solder joints on circuit boards. If it passes the first month it may last 8 or 12 years. Send it back under warranty.

Hi i got a vhs/ dvd recorder from a friend who upgraded, but dont have a manual,i have set it up to my portable tv upstairs, which has a set top box,but dont really know if i have the cables right. the...

Hello Audrey,

If you can watch the videos on the TV, your cables are correct, but you don't generally record a video to DVD using the record button. Most VCR/DVD combinations have a DUBBING button on the front of the player and/or the remote control for copying from one to the other.

Additionally, some players can only record from video to DVD, some can only record from DVD to video and others will do both. On players that can do both, you need to instruct the player whether you want to record from video to DVD or vice-versa.

If you can le me know the model number of the player, I can let you know which recording options are available on your player, how to record and (hopefully) supply a new manual which you can download and print. The model number may be on the front of the player, but usually these are found on a label on the back of the player.

Regards,
BElectric.

1. Make sure you have connected the cable to the correct input on the set.

2. Access the User Menu and do a "Scan for DIGITAL" channels.

That should do it...

CONNECTING HDMI CABLE

The HDMI cable plugs into the TV and other sources. Make sure you have the correct HDMI cable for your set. Each cable handles both audio and video. Turn it over if it does not fit in. It only fits one way.

You need one cable for each source and your TV has to have at least one jack for each source or you need to buy a switch box, if it has only one and you have several. You then must select the correct source on your TV for the input. Your satellite box (DVD or VHS) each must have a HDMI jack to use this cable on each.

Let me know how you make out.

Toshiba 51H83 51 in. Rear Projection pisture issue

I have a wild guess. I have the same tv and channel 72 is the proper channel to watch tv on. I don't know why, but maybe try channel 72 instead of the usual channel 3. Good luck, maybe a quick fix, maybe not!
