Lenovo Thinkpad SL400 - Screen flickers at the bottom of the screen every 5 seconds or so,also showing a green dotted line and a magenta dotted line below it? how can this be fixed as its rather annoying

hello bro, it is your warranty is valid? Your laptop's lcd was problem. What you can do is change to new lcd. called your technician to fix it back. You can use warranty for that. If you warranty was expired, you still can use 2nd warranty. Sometimes , there was 2nd warranty where you just need to pay half from actual price. How ever, if you dont want to fix it. You can try use crt or lcd monitor. Plug it to your laptop and change display to external monitor that you use. My friends also have problem like that, it just use external monitor. But is to boring, it make like we use Desktop pc.

How ever, you can try to uninstall driver for graphic card or internal( that you use now).
Than install it back . Sometimes, we have driver issued for it. bad driver, hardware problem and virus damage. I suggest you to reinstall back to see it is cause from your driver or not.
