Find your Print Queue (in Windows this can be found by Double clicking the default printer icon in Printers and Faxes.

Delete the first item on the list (or all of them - might be easier).

This should get rid of the problem print job.

Send a simple page to the printer to test what happens.

Good luck.

Paper feed rollers and sheet feed pad dirty. Feed roller on top pad should be just below. Clean with alcohol. Papers have clay in them. Recycled is worst. It will glaze the pick up roller and pad.

Canon Fax-L700

There is a cable that runs from the scanner to the processor. Looking from the front, its on the left side of the machine, on the back, it is a fairly large connector.
Unscrew the two thumb screws, then unplug it and plug it back in with the machine ON.
It will force it into a reset and may boot.

The problem is caused by a software glitch .

Check the tray settings and ensure that paper size guides are set to the appropriate paper size, then power off/power on the machine.

HP Lazer 4300dtn keeps trying to print from tray 1. How can I set the default to tray 2?

Selecting which tray is used for printing

You can select how the printer pulls paper from the trays.

Understanding tray order

When the printer receives a print job, it selects the tray by trying to match the requested paper

type and size with what has been loaded in the trays. Using an "autoselect" process, it searches

all available trays for the paper that satisfies the request, starting with the bottom tray and ending

with the top tray (tray 1). The printer begins printing the job as soon as it finds the proper type/

size.

Note The "autoselect" process occurs only if no specific tray is requested for the job. If a specific tray

is requested, the job prints from the requested tray.

If paper is loaded in tray 1 and tray 1 is set TRAY 1 TYPE=ANY and TRAY 1 SIZE=ANY on the

Paper Handling menu, the printer will always pull paper from tray 1 first. See "Customizing

tray 1 operation" on page 47 for more information.

If the search fails, a message appears on the printer control panel display requesting that

you load the correct paper type/size. You can load that paper type/size, or you can override

the request by selecting a different type/size at the printer control panel.

If a tray runs out of paper during a print job, the printer automatically switches to any tray that

contains the same paper type/size.

The autoselect process changes somewhat if you customize tray 1 operation (as explained in

"Customizing tray 1 operation" on page 47) or set tray 1 for manual feed (as explained in
"Manually feeding paper from tray 1" on page 49). See if this works. Good luck !

Printer keeps printing blank pages non stop going

drop kick unit across room:)))) sorry just kidding I had the same problem with mine. If the computer is continually printing that means the printer is receiving print orders from your computer. Best thing is just disconnect the printer from the computer and turn the computer off and wait 30 seconds then turn on . This should clear the print cache then reconnect the printer. Make sure to only request one print at at a time.
if the printer continues to print blank pages check to see if you have the latest software driver for the printer installed on your computer. You can do this by going to the manufactures website and download the software its easy to do just follow the prompts and install! Hope this helpful!!!

I have printed all odd # pages from a document, but my HP Laserjet 4 won't feed these pages back through to print on the blank side with even # pages. I've tried to keep the front (feeding edge) of papers...

You need to try a thicker paper, Heavier stock to double print the page. Slightly more expensive. Recycled paper typically will not work for this type of function. I had this same problem and found this was the only solution.

Paper jam in Panasonic KX-

Your document feed is separate from your received and report prints so that's why your reports are printing ok and the document feeder jams. When you open up the doc feeder and look inside the machine you will see a roller and above it on the cover that opens you will see a rubber pad. Clean both the roller and pad (in fact anything in there that is rubber) with a rubber cleaner, alcohol, or even soap and water on a cloth without it been dripping wet. You will probablt find that they are very dirty. The roller feeds the document in so that needs to be clean and the pad helps to keep all the other docs from feeding in at the same time and that should be very clean so it produces good friction.

Double sided copying

here is the manual p4 and p16 discuss the topic:
Duplex printing 1
The supplied printer driver supports duplex printing.
Guidelines for printing on both sides of the paper 1
If the paper is thin, it may wrinkle.
If paper is curled, turn over the stack, straighten it and then put it back in the paper tray or the Manual Feed
Slot.
If the paper is not feeding properly, it may be curled. Remove the paper, straighten it and turn over the
stack.
When you use the manual duplex function, it is possible that there may be paper jams or poor print quality.
If there is a paper jam, see Paper jams in the User’s Guide. If you have a print quality problem, see
Improving the print quality in the User’s Guide.
Manual duplex printing 1
The machine prints all the even-numbered pages on one side of the paper first. Then, the Windows® driver
instructs you (with a pop-up message) to reinsert the paper. Before reinserting the paper, straighten it well,
or you may get a paper jam. Very thin or thick paper is not recommended.
Simultaneous scanning, printing and faxing 1
Your machine can print from your computer while sending or receiving a fax in memory, or while scanning a
document into the computer. Fax sending will not be stopped during PC printing. However, when the machine
is copying or receiving a fax on paper, it pauses the PC printing operation, and then continues printing when
copying or fax receiving has finished.

 Manual Duplex
Check Manual Duplex. In this mode, the machine prints all the even numbered pages first. Then the
printer driver stops and shows the instructions required to re-install the paper. When you click OK the odd
numbered pages are printed. There are six types of manual duplex binding directions available for each
orientation.
 Booklet Printing
When you want to print a booklet, use this function. To make the booklet, fold the printed pages down the
middle.
 Binding Offset
If you check the Binding Offset option, you can also specify the offset for binding in inches or millimeters

Lift lid to continue printing

OK, Based on the information provided I think I can offer a solution. They are getting open and close top cover and the unit will print a few pages and stop. I will assume the machine is indicating paper jam (although not confirmed) and no paper is in the machine. A maint. kit was recently installed.
The problem is likely the separation clutch.
The clutch is located in the paper tray (tray 2 and tray 3 if installed) just to the right of the roller.
Heres the test:
Remove the roller and the clutch. The clutch will slide off the shaft after the roller is removed.
reinstall the roller.
Run a paper path test for the tray you removed the clutch from or just print something multi pages.
If the machine prints more then the few pages at a time without giving the error we have solved the problem.
You need a Sep. Clutch.

NOW PAY ATTENTION:
You may get a jam error printing without the clutch installed BUT there will be paper in the printer. This is because without the clutch the machine may feed more than one sheet at a time. but if the paper is making it into the machine the clutch is the issue.
Hope this helps

Hp LaserJet 1100: Runs louder than normal and continuously, BUT will not grab paper and print

Fred shine a flashlight down the paper feed throat and see if the feer roller is rotating when the printer tries to print.
I have had to replace many of the feed rolls and separation pads in this series of printer.
the tires get dirty or worn and feed multiple sheets or none at all. check for obstructions as well-sometimes the black mylar sheet which sits in front of the feed roll gets in the way of the paper path and has to be pushed in place. I have also seen paper pieces stuck next to the paper path switch which is visible after removing the toner cartridge. hope this helps.

Machine keeps printing over and over!

You need to leave the machine off for a period of time, Perhaps overnight or longer. When the battery back up runs out any stored fax will be deleted. If you have succeeded the first page should a report telling you this fact.

If this fails you can always wind your carbon paper backwards so its not wasting on the unprinted stuff but the stuff that has already been printed on.
