One of the most common problems encountered with washing machines that need repairs, including Baumatic machines, is no water coming into the machine or the soap not being taken from the soap dispenser box. There are two main reasons why this could happen, 1. because the water has been turned off inadvertently from somewhere, or 2. because the water inlet valve as become faulty or blocked.
If your appliance is not taking in water the first thing you need to know is if the problem is with the hot or cold supply, to find out you can put your appliance onto a white wash cycle and start the machine this should bring hot water into the machine and you will know within a few minutes if the hot water supply is working or not, and to find out if the cold supply is working or not select stop/reset and then select the drain or spin cycle and this will empty the machine of any water, now select the rinse cycle and this should bring cold water into the machine and you will know within a few minutes if the cold water supply is working or not, once you are sure of the results select stop/reset and then select drain or spin again to empty any water that may have entered the appliance.
At this stage you should know whether the hot or cold supply is at fault, the next thing you need to check is that the water as not been turned off inadvertently, check both the stop **** and the washing machine connector valve/s, to see if you can tell if it as been turned off or not, if you think it as, turn it back on and do the hot and cold cycle test above for the cycle that failed, if the water is still not coming into the appliance you know need to turn the water off from the washing machine inlet valve/s one at a time and slowly disconnect the the inlet pipe/s from the washing machine side and point the washing machine inlet pipe it into a bucket and then turn the water back on, you should be checking to see that the water is on and also that the water pressure is OK.
There is a good chance your appliance could be working OK now, but If the test above shows the water is on and the pressure is OK but the washing machine is still not taking in water, you will need to have t the water inlet valve and or the water pressure switch and water pressure chamber tested, the diagnosis procedure covered here will work for Baumatic washing machines that need repairs, it will also work for most other makes.hope this helps

My washer fills and doesn't stop. I try to advance it to the spin cycle but none of the cycles work. I changed the lid switch because it wouldn't fill at all. Now it fills and nothing else. Tested...

The fill switch is bad. That's the only "safety" on the washer that will shut the water off after reaching desired depth. To test it, run your machine on the various water levels. For example, start out on the low setting. If the water doesn't shut off after the tub is half full, then it's the fill switch inside the unit next to the tub.

Bad odor in my washing mashine,I need more instruciones on how to perform a "tub cleaning " Please share the nessesary information with me related to this problem. Thank you

  1. Empty your washing machine.Add 1 cup of white vinegar into your washing machine as it fills using hot water.
  2. Let machine go through an entire wash and rinse cycle.Add 1 cup of Borax into your washer as it fills with water. Wait for the agitator to start turning so the borax dissolves, then add the soured laundry.

We don't have an instruction manual for our Baumatic BK6EL washing machine, bought second hand. The machine seems to keep filling and rinsing and needs to be halted manually.

This has a strong indication that the machine needs a controller. A controller can be from $80 - $400 depending on model and type. Good news is they are generally easy to change. I recommend a new knob with the controller as you will likely break it getting it off without knowledge and special tools.

Re Baumatic BK6EL, the washer stops at the beginning of the spin cycle, showing soak, extra rinse, spin lights all on. Thinking it was just an unbalanced load, I readjust the load and press the start...

Hi Same problem but easy to fix.
Remove back cover of machine. Look to the lower end of the bowl and you will notice a stainless steel wire with hook attached. If this is hanging loose that will be your problem. Reattach the hook to the grey coloured lever , it has a hole drilled through it at the extremity. The wire pulls on this lever to disengage the drum brake during the spin cycle.

Baumatic BTWM6 washing machine flashing F02 error

hi, you need to empty the filter, ours does the same all too often. The filter is located bottom right of the machine at floor level, which is rather daft for an integrated applicance; we have to remove a whole length of plinth to empty ours. Be warned, a lot of gunge and water will come out so have towels at the ready, especially if you have a laminated floor. Turn the white slot with a a 10p piece......and empty. Not the most pleasant of jobs, but effective. Good luck!

LG washing machine problem

I had the same problem with my LG front load. The second repairman fixed the problem. The water lines going into the machine were clogged with sediment (probably because I have well water). This caused the cups to remain full of water because the water pressure was so low the siphons were not working as they should to empty the cups. This also caused the wash cycles to be extremely long (sometimes 2 hours) because it took so long for the water to enter the machine for the wash & rinse cycles. Since the lines have been cleaned it works fine.

Cycle will not start

sounds like your machine is not taking in any water at all, which is the first thing the dishwasher wants to do on all programme settings. The constant whirring noise you refer to will be the water valve trying to take water into your machine. As yours isn't filling in the first place the programme cannot progress without water and it will just sit there whirring.Anyway, to resolve this matter I would check the fill hose which goes from the back of machine to your cold water pipe in your kitchen/utility, in case somebody has turned off supply.where the flexi hose meets the copper supply pipe there should be a thumbturn shut/open valve, turn this 90 degrees or a quarter turn and if you here a rush of water for a split second then you have fixed it.At this point try setting away a programme to see if water is going into dishwasher. If not have a bucket ready and unscrew the flexi hose altogether to make sure water is travelling past shut/open valve. If not you need a new shut/open valve. If water is able to pass this valve reconnect to dishwasher turn shut/open valve a quarter turn to open flow of water again, test machine on any programme again ,if it fills then your sorted, if not it must be your dishwashers internal water valve that will need replacing. Not a major job (located behind fill hose) but make sure electric and water supplies are off first before dabbling and write down your machines make and model number before shopping for part. GOOD LUCK.
