TV power loss

Panasonic LCD TV #TC-32LE60 popped and turned itself off. When attempting to turn back on, power light flashed 6 times and paused, flashed 6 times and paused, repeatedly. Unplugged for 20-30 sec then restarted, getting a set-up menu. Canceled menu and it ran for about 2 min but popped again. Left unplugged overnight and it now seems normal. What does the 6 flash code mean?

This did not really help as I already figured some thingy inside the TV might be bad. My question is "what does the power light six flash code mean?? As I said, the TV is now operating normally after being unplugged overnight.

  • Candalino May 01, 2008

The first thing I did was check the operating manual. It says nothing about the power light flash codes and I didn't really expect it to. For the paid FixYa assistance, I expected that someone with some technical experience would be able to find that info. FixYa has taken my $10 and provided nothing. I will not be back and will recommend against it unless I can get that information.

What does the 6 flash code mean? Maybe an overheat condition?? It didn't seem any warmer than normal... pcandalino

Thanks, that's good to know. The TV is operating normally now though after being unplugged overnight. I am still curious to know what the six flash diagnostic code sequence on the power light means.

tried unplugging overnight then plugging back in the next day, sometimes will work other times not but always repeat the same problem over and over.

I agree with Coolguy's answer. If that doesn't resolve your issue, the problem is the lamp. Getting that replaced at a local shop will cost around 150 dollars or more.

Please let me know if this helps. Take care!

Most likely the part inside the tv has gone bad as you said that you heard a pop and this lead to take the tv to a technician.

What can i do? Turned off TV. Now it will not turn back on. Flashes 10 times, pauses then starts flashing again

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and precious time.

Panasonic tc-p42x1 has no power and led flashes 10 times in between pauses is this tv worth fixing

No, it is definitely not worth repairing. The panel is shot and you can buy a new lcd tv for less than the repair.

Where to get LCD screen for panasonic TC-32LE60 TV ?

Hi there, the only close part you could get is the actual cabinet. the actual screen will have to be shipped by the manufacture itself. these screens are filled with a liquid that is dangerous and has to be installed in a OSHA approved shop.

  1. Press and hold Action and Power on the TV until self check appears-- then unplug the TV wait for 30 sec. then plug back in.
  2.  Volume down on unit and sleep on remote. Same process wait for self check then unplug for 30 sec. plug back in and turn on.
  3. Volume down on the unit and RH-Split on the remote-- same process
Try these one at a time until you find the right one.

No power but has red light flashing

Thank God for the internet. I had the same problem and I googled it and found this site with this solution. It worked fine. Thank you. Like you said, unplug, hold the power button for 60 seconds and replug and turn on. Worked like a charm. Thanks a bunch.
