When you plug the ipad into something it sometimes turns off,you must press play again. Is it plugged into auxillary input and turned to auxillary on the stereo?
there is no option to add a USB port on this model. An alternative to use a usb flash drive is to use a MP3 with the auxillary input. Cheap MP3 with works fine too.
In your car there should be an auxillary jack located in the glove compartment where you can purchase an auxillary jack and insert and plug into your Ipod in the headphone jack.
Hope this helps
Make sure that "AUX" is turned on on the menu. Some Pioneer radios have a front aux, a rear aux, a rear steering wheel control jack, and an aux through the IP-BUS only. First, make sure that if there is an auxillary port on the back of the unit, that it isn't the steering wheel control plug by accident. Second, front auxillary inputs on Pioneer radios NEVER need to be turned on in the menu, only inputs on the back. Any back inputs are turned on in the main set-up menu when the radio is first turned off. Hope this info helps.
Have you tried selecting it in the channel section of the menu? The main menu also might have an input option since there is no "input" or "source" button on your remote.
