There is a horizontal line across the screen 1 - 2 pixel wide. WIth pressure, it move somewhat, but did not want to press too hard. Other things seem to work fine - it is just distracting.
Most likely a bad connection along the sides of the screen causing a line of "dead" pixels. I have a similar problem with an old GPS reciever (several lines). You could attempt to repair but that would be risky unless you purchased a new working screen and replaed the entire screen (can find on ebay at times)

This very likely a failure in the LCD screen. If you are seeing thin or wide bands, vertical or horizontal across the screen, then you will need to have the unit serviced to repair or replace the screen. If the unit has been dropped or struck (hard) it is possible the connector cable for the screen has come loose, but this is not usually the issue. If the unit is still under warranty, get it serviced. If it is not under warranty, there are several good web sites that provide Do-It-Your-Self instructional videos as well as parts, both new and refurbished and used. If you google your specific model and "screen replacement", you will see a number of results appear that would be of use.
Hi, The problem with pocket PC is that you can't do something to test and find if the problem comes from the display or the graphic processor. If the device is not too old, you can try to repair it. In case that the device is more than 10 years, buy a new one. Sorry.
If the thin line is always there, you have a set of pixels burned out. This usually occures vertically. There is easy fix, except to replace the screen. If the laptop is under warrenty, contact the manufacture for repair options.
Visually, there is very little difference to the eye of the average consumer between 720p and 1080. However, 720p can deliver a slightly smoother-looking image, due to the fact that lines and pixels are displayed in a consecutive pattern, rather than in an alternate pattern.your tv is display format is 720p and blu ray is 1080p. what happen is it will be scaled into 720p. old tv set format is 480p
720p represents 1,280 pixels displayed across the screen horizontally and 720 pixels down the screen vertically. This arrangement yields 720 horizontal lines on the screen, which are, in turn, displayed progressively, or each line displayed following another.1080p, on the other hand, represents 1,080 horizontal lines displayed sequentially. This means all lines are displayed during the same pass. 1080p is the highest quality HD display format.480p represents 720 pixels displayed across the screen horizontally and 480 pixels down the screen vertically. This arrangement yields 480 horizontal lines on the screen, which are, in turn, displayed progressively, or each line displayed following another.
The pixel sensors at the edge of the screen have gone out causing the line. This is generally due to a bad or failing screen. Unfortunately, the screen will have to be replaced in order to fix this.
