The pixels (I assume it is) are going out one by one. It's been an ongoing problem that started with one very thin line right down the middle of the screen. It has now progressed like a cancer over the past year to an entirely white/blacked out portion on the right and a rainbow of lines running up and down across the entire screen. I simply ignored untill the lines got so clustered, they began to obstruct the view, despite their thinness. I guess I just need to get a new laptop screen, or is there hope for a more cost-effective solution? P.S.-I can send a picture of the screen if you need one.

No need, the screen is indeed dying and there is nothing that even the can do to save it.
You must replace it, and quickly, otherwise when it will finally fail completely it may fry the video chip.

2 thin vertical blue lines, near center and right side. Do i need to replace LRC buffer boards. Z50p3 50 in plasma.

By thin line I assume its one pixel in width. A single pixel wide line is an indicator of a defective panel.

I do think the your pixels are dead or may be the screen has been moved or hit with something. I dont know how to fix it but you can try changing the screen if it has a warranty

There are two very thin lines (pixel thin) that just appeared on the LCD screen. One is in the middle near the bottom, the other is on the lower left side. They are both fixed and are there no mater which...

If these lines are white, then they generally are a line of burnt out pixels. There is no home fix for these and I have yet to see a repairman fix this problem. I have seen on occasion where the line gets longer. Its best to start looking for a new replacement or try to live with it until you can't stand it any more.

My laptop screen has a thin blue line going down, why has this happened?

You have the beginning of a failing Display panel, and will eventually need to replace the display.. you can hold the top left and right sides of the display screen-slightly bend forward and back, you should see the blue line either go away or it will produce more lines...

This is due to a short on the circuit board panel on the backside of the display panel that controls the Pixels on the Screen.. The Pixels are controlled In a Line Grid Fashion...

Thin rose line appear on lhs display

Kind of hard to understand your question but i think ive got it.

I believe your saying a thin red line appears going down or across your display.
And im sorry to say that i belive that your screen has lost some pixels due to a possible
drop, hit, or any other ware and tear, even over time, pixels seem to fade out and die on everything.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/53416219@N00/2110489041/ if its possibly something like that but smaller... I would bet to say it is dead pixels and is un Repairable, unless the Lcd is replaced.
