I am replacing the inner glass on my Kenmore oven and would like instructions on how to dismantle the door, properly replace the glass and seal and then reassemble the door. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the suggestion. On our range door there are screws on the bottom only, but it appears this will be the way in to change the inner glass. Are there are any precautions to make sure that I get the seal installed properly? Or is it pretty straight forward?

Should be relatively easy. Remove the door first. Should a door release tab that flips up on each door hinge. Engage the tabs push the door toward the close position and the tabs will grab. Lift the door up and off. From there remove screws holding the inner and outer door shell together. Screws should be on top and bottom of door. Then locate the screws you need to remove to replace your glass. Be careful not to break it!!!

How do I replace the inner door glass on a neff C67M70 microwave

Not easy. All microwave repairs should be done by a professional. Oven doors are easy, but they make microwaves harder because they need to be sealed and checked for radiation leaks. Traditional ovens are easy, microwaves aren't.

How to replace inner glass panel on Neff H7871 microwave

Hi Bill, I am having a same problem I have managed to order the glass from:-

http://www.4neff.co.uk/cgi-bin/product.pl?PID=876912&query=Neff%20H7871N1GB%2f01&model=H7871N1GB&path=127858

1. Open the door.

2. Take out the 2 screws just behind the handle, on the inside of the door, the door should flop down at the handle end.

3. Hold the door handle and pull the door out. It is only housed in by a slip in hooks at the bottom end.

4. Once you remove the door you will see the inner metal mesh and the inner door behind it.

5. Remove the 16 screws holding the inner glass with a special star type screw driver bit no T30.

6. Once you done that the glass housing holding the inner glass can be carefully prised free and taken off the inner door assembley.

7. Once you done that remove and inner glass, and be carefull to leave the glass glass seal intact, clean around the frame housing and the seal then replace the new inner glass and reverse the process.

PS. Becareful of the inner door once you've removed the outer door, as the hinges holding the inner door tend to shut quickly as there is less weight on the hinges.

It will do the job if you follow these instructions.Good Luck. AL

The inner door glass shattered and now no power

There's a safty switch which prevents the unit from operating if the door isn't fully closed. When the glass shattered a small piece may have blocked the switch from operating properly. Check around the door seals for any irregularities.
