Lenovo Y550P stopped charging battery

Check the Power Adapter and Outlet:
Ensure that the AC power adapter is securely connected to both your laptop and a functional power outlet.
If your laptop has an AC power indicator light, make sure it's illuminated. If not, try a different wall outlet (avoid using a power bar) .

Battery Charge Stops at 60%:
If your battery charge stops at 55%-60% and shows a "plugged in, not charging" message, it might be due to a power management setting.
Some Lenovo laptops have a feature that limits battery charging to extend battery life. To disable this:
For models with Lenovo Energy Management, Lenovo Power Manager, OneKey Optimizer, Lenovo Settings, or Lenovo Vantage:
Check if "Conservation Mode" is turned on. If so, turn it off.
If the issue persists, try updating your laptop's BIOS:
Go to the Lenovo support website, download the latest BIOS for your model, and install it.
Reboot your PC and check if the problem is resolved.
Hard Reset:
Sometimes a hard reset can help resolve charging issues:
Shut down your computer.
Remove the battery (if detachable).
Hold down the power button for 30 seconds (with the battery removed).
Reattach the battery, plug in the AC adapter, and turn on the computer. The battery should start charging .
If these steps don't solve the problem, there might be other causes.

Lenovo thinkpad R61 audio driver not working

There are audio drives for this laptop, they will work for Windows, XP, Vista, & Windows 2000. They are on this site:

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-67856.html#audio

Just install and the laptop should recognize them. It if doesn't then that means the onboard video is bad.

Were you able to fix it? I took out the fan and cleaned it with a toothbrush (didn't disassemble it). If it worked, can you provide some insight into what you did?

Lenovo R61 Dead

The power supply in most computers has a fuse, either internal or external, that can blow without you noticing. Basically, you've been on battery operation this whole time, and the battery's finally gone dead.
It will be necessary to open the case and examine the power supply section. It may be possible to replace the fuse yourself, but any operation of this nature that involves opening the case will void any warranty you may have.

My Lenovo N500 does not want to startup but there is a light that stays on all the time, it is next to the start button

The light that stays on is probably a power indicator. Remove AC adapter and battery. Hold power button down for 20 seconds. Put battery back in and reconnect AC adapter. Try to start your computer.

IBM Lenovo Thinkpad R61 gets 1 long & 2 short beeps on startup

Try this:
Open two RAMs, clean them properly and connect only one RAM then try. If nothing changes, then remove the RAM and insert the other one. And try again.

If this fails too, then there is a good chance that you have motherboard related problem

Lenovo R61 won't get to login

Hi,
I,d suggest To charge the battery Fully.
Then power up the laptop, with A/C Adaptor connected.
Also check your models user manual, regarding the sleep/hibernate mode. the laptop may have gone into one of these modes. Usually a ( zzz ) Icon Key or Similar.
Also when booting press the LCD/VGA Button.
If all else fails, try to see if your laptop, has a hard-reset button or switch. ** Sometimes this can be a small hole ** On the underside of laptop. *** Only use with laptop Powered Off ***
