The chair will not move if the charger is plugged in. The flashes are normal with the charger plugged into the chair. The lights on the charger mean that the batteries have been fully charged. Red and yellow lights mean charging. After you unplug the charger from the chair (if off-baord charger, turn charger off or unplug from the wall) then unplug from joystick. after plug is removed from joystick press the on button and all the battery lights should be lit and when you move the joystick forward you will hear the electric bake release and the chair should move forward etc Hope this helps

I have an Oricom Ultra 550 that won't recharge. The green light on the charger is on but doesn't go red when unit is placed in it .

It sounds like there may be an issue with the charging system on your Oricom Ultra 550. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue: Check the power source: Make sure that the power outlet you are using is working correctly. Try plugging in another device to confirm that the outlet is providing power. Check the charger: If possible, try using a different charger to see if the issue is with the charger itself. If you don't have another charger, try using a different USB cable with the charger. Check the battery: If the battery is completely drained, it may take a few minutes for the charging indicator light to turn red. Try leaving the Oricom Ultra 550 in the charger for 10-15 minutes to see if the light changes to red. Reset the device: If none of the above steps work, try resetting the device. To do this, remove the battery and then put it back in. Turn the device on and see if it starts charging. If none of these steps work, it may be a hardware issue with the device. In that case, you may need to contact Oricom customer support for assistance or take the device to a technician for repair.

Charger not working

When the red light is on it is to indicate that the charger is getting power from the wall outlet. If there is a second light that normally comes on Green when charging pay close attention to it when you first plug the charger in. See if it blinks even once then turns off. If it does that means the charger is not seeing any battery voltage at the plug that goes into the chair. If the green light does not blink at all then it usually means the charger is defective. Also most wheelchair battery chargers will not charge the batteries if the chair is to dead to even turn on.

It will not run it just click

Most likely, the last 2 answers are correct. When you charge the battery, does the light on the charger stay red for several hours before turning green? Check the voltage of the 3 batteries after the charger light turns green. It should be 39-40 volts or so no load. Turn the throttle and see if the voltage drops when the relay clicks. You can connect the batteries directly to the motor and it should go full speed if they are good.

Pronto M6 chair will not work. When the power switch is turned on, the LED light flash Red followed by three Green. I can't find what this error code meas.... Pls Help thanks Phil

Phil the red means battery is low and the green is a speed limit code because of the low battery if you have charged your batteries and you still get the red then you need to check the charger after charging all night does the yellow light on the charger turn green? if when you first plug in the charger if the red light is on and the other light is green then there is a problem with the wiring or connection to the batteries from the charger and you aren't charging the batteries. if when you plug the charger in and you get a red and yellow light then the charger is working but you don't ever ge a green light and the battery level gauge is still showing red then you need to replace the batteries Hope this helps

Invacare m51 scooter. I just replaced the batteries in my dads chair. We charged it all night the first night and it ran great the next day. recharged it for several days after using it and now the battery...

Sweet you do not need to leave the charger plugged in for several days. Sounds like there is a charger problem When you first plug the charger in with batteries depleted you should be getting a red and yellow light with the yellow turning green when fully charged. now the charger (built in) could have become unplugged from the power module located in the rear of the chair behind the black cover. To get to it you have to remove the seat, shroud and batteries then using a phillips screwdriver and adjustable wrench remove the black cover. The charger cord will be the last one on the left with a small 4 pin white plastic plug make sure it is well seated in the power module. If it isn't loose then you have a problem with the charger or the circuit. Now if you know of a friend that has an off board charger for a chair or scooter that you can borrow you can charge the batteries using the charger port located under the front of the joystick Plug the charger into the port then into the wall socket and let er rip Charge until the light turns green overnite is a good habit to get into If the onboard charger is bad I would suggest you by an offboard charger (cheaper) Now if Medicare paid for your Dads Chair then they will pay for any repairs even batteries and you can contact the provider that your dad got the chair from to see if they will repair it Hope this helps

My Hoveround MPV5 batteries will not charge, do you think it is a battery problem or a charger problem?

If you plug the charger into the wall, turn on the power switch and the light comes on, the charger should be working properly. Here is a way to test it-
Attach the charger that came with the power chair to the power chair controller firmly and turn the power chair on, while the charger is running. What should happen:the lights on the controller will scroll back and forth. If this does NOT happen and you can confirm the charger is turned on, the charger handle is fully seated inside the controller receptacle and the wall outlet has power, then the charger may have a problem and needs to be replaced.

If the charger is OK, then there may be a problem with the batteries. Here are some sypmtoms:
1-You connect the charger but the light on the charger never goes red, it just stays green.
2-You connect the charger but the light goes from red to green VERY fast.
3-The charger light goes from red to green but when you disconnect the charger and press the power button on the controller, you only have one flashing red light, or the batteries drain within just a few minutes of use.
4-The power chair has been stored or sitting idle for several months.
5- The power chair has been connected to the charger 24-7 for several months.
Any of the above examples indicates that the batteries are oxidized or damaged and will most likely need to be replaced. The MPV5 takes two, U1 12 volt 33 amp batteries which can be purchased at any battery warehouse store like Interstate Batteries or Batteries Plus.
Good luck!

I just purchased a used Jet 3 ultra power wheelchair...after charging it up I turn it on and the red light is flashing and it makes like a clicking sound when i try to make it go forward..cand you please...

bobby

The batteries are not charged. The red light indicates low batteries and the clicking sound you hear is the electric brakes being energized. Now the problem could be bad batteries or a bad charger. If you have access to an off-board charger (maybe a friend or acquaintance might have one) plug it into the charger port located under the front of the joystick. Don't plug in the on-board charger at the same time. Charge the chair overnight with the off-board charger and you should see a red light(power) and a green light(if the chairgot fully charged) if the light is still yellow then the batteries are bad and need to be replaced. Your chair uses 2 U1 batteries and if there is a battery store near you get them there. Interstate makes a good battery if you have a dealer near you. Hope this helps Good Luck

How do I know when the chair has charged? I see one red, two green, two yellow lights on.

If you have an off-board charger that plugs into the joystick there are two lights on the charger one red(power on) and the other yellow (turns green when fully charged). Plug it into the chair and if the light is green then you have fully charged the batteries. Now if you have the on-board charger the charger meter on the rear of the chair will resd zero when fully charged. Hope this helps ya

Upon power up, 3 red LEDs flashing rapidly continously, no power.

The control systems on power mobility equipment have a "prevent" circuit that immobilizes the equipment while it is plugged into a charger, so folks won't take off with it plugged into the wall outlet. When you turn it on when plugged into a charger, the display will flash constantly, or sweep constantly, depending on the manufacturer. This is normal. Your off-board charger should have a red light to indicate power to the charger, and another light for the charge status. Yellowish means it is charging, when it turns green, you are fully charged. If the status light is green all the time, that is an indication that the charger is not functioning properly, or that the batteries are below a chargeable state. Check charger output, which should be 26-28 volts dc, and each battery should show at least a 12 volt reading, but around 13.5 volts with a full charge. If one or both of the batteries drops below 12 volts after a short period of time, it's time for a fresh pair. Fully charge new ones before using the chair.
